Recovery from addiction requires a life long commitment to abstinence and sobriety. At Cirque Lodge, alcohol and drug rehab is intended to put this disease into remission. 12-step Recovery Program

Cirque Lodge has at its foundation the traditions of the 12-step program developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Those within or addiction and recovery program begin the process of working these steps. During a primary care stay, the emphasis is on making a solid foundation of the initial steps in this process. Nature and the mountain are incorporated into working these steps. The serenity of nature can be an influential backdrop to connecting and turning ones problems over to a higher power. Hiking, snow shoeing, and other mountain based activities also help with an active addiction treatment program.

Continuing the 12-steps after drug and alcohol rehab is an effective measure for lasting recovery. At the Cirque, this practice begins in the safe confines of an addiction treatment facility. Residents begin to attend these meetings while still in the care of our facility. The Cirque Lodge Studio facility hosts many of our local community meetings. Residents can also begin to work with a temporary sponsor during treatment as well. Many times the support of a sponsor can be the cog needed to a long term sobriety. Combined with the clinical elements of Cirque Lodge, this approach is a highly effective recovery program.

Effective Addiction Treatment

Cirque is founded on an effective, residential addiction treatment program. This treatment is a balance of traditional forms of recovery programs and the most modern forms of psychotherapies. Woven into this are daily experiential activities, which help build skills for the recovery process. All of this is provided by a licensed and caring staff, as well as members of the recovery community. Our staff provides all elements of needed clinical therapies, and also the caring support required for a lasting sobriety.

The addiction treatment and recovery program is personalized to meet individual needs. Each resident is cared for on a case-by-case basis. They work through an individualized treatment that is tailored to address their personal needs from a treatment standpoint. Residents are also assigned a personal counselor for their stay. Counselors work individually with clients in addressing issues and providing caring therapy. A professional assessment process is used to determine client needs. The drug and alcohol treatment plan is then tailored to meet these needs with appropriate care.

Continuing the Recovery Program

As was discussed earlier, alcoholism and drug addiction is something that requires a life long commitment to overcome. When the alcohol and drug rehab program are completed at Cirque Lodge, the individual must continue to work at their recovery program. A stay in our facility has rehabilitated them and armed them with the needed skills. A central element to continuing this process is to continue the efforts of the 12-step program. Over the years, Cirque has helped many find the solution for a lasting recovery. However, it was their efforts in continuing to work the program that led them to this recovery.

When it is time for clients to leave the addiction treatment rehab program, they are given a plan to help them along the way. Each client works with aftercare on creating a Continuing Care Plan. Central to this plan is continuing the 12-step program, but there are also other elements of aftercare available to the alcoholic/addict. Additional therapies, outpatient programs, sober living environments, and support groups can be influential and helpful pieces to the recovery puzzle. These are all made available through the Continuing Care Plan for residents to following upon completion of treatment at Cirque Lodge.

A unique part to the Cirque Lodge recovery program is the Guesting Privilege. Those who have successfully completed the program are provided a privilege to return to our facility for a guesting stay. This is available free of charge and whenever the resident needs it. This privilege is only available to those who have remained sober, and is determined by our clinical staff. Guesting can be an effective tool to staying sober in times of struggle. Some former residents have used this privilege to celebrate milestones in their sobriety. It is a unique and a helpful part to the Cirque Lodge recovery effort.
