During Family Week a number of activities and elements are provided to better educate and support those who attend. Family members can have a number of misunderstandings when it comes to alcoholism and drug addiction. Lectures and workshops are provided to clear up these things. Therapy elements are provided for family as well. Caring staff members work with the family in addressing concerns and opening lines of communication. Healing and Serenity in Nature

Our experiential program gives residents many opportunities to get out on the mountain through enjoyable activities. This venue is used to teach recovery concepts and gives a serene place for meditation. Hikes, mountain biking, river rafting, and even snow shoeing in the winter are all used as fun and enjoyable recovery activities. These also play part in physical recovery through an active addiction treatment program.

The mountain is tapped for its spiritual rejuvenation. Part of the experiential program is to provide vital spiritual experiences. As explained in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, such experiences create a huge emotional displacement. The mountain is used in providing these experiences, and these concepts are discussed and learned through these activities.
