Cirque Lodge is founded on the 12-step program. A good portion of treatment is dedicated to introducing and beginning the work of the 12-steps. Residents also begin to attend 12-step meetings and working with a temporary sponsor. It can be hard to begin the process of the 12-steps in the outside world. The safety of our addiction treatment facility provides a place to get more accustomed to the recovery process, while still receiving effective treatments and care for the condition. Only the first few steps are covered while in a 30-day program. These steps are based on individuals finding and learning to rely upon a higher power. Every third week of the treatment cycle is dedicated to working with families. This program provides instruction on the behaviors that fuel addiction within the home, enabling, and also helps in building support for the recovery process. Many of the struggles of alcoholism or drug addiction can have a foundation in home struggles and problems. Family Week provides special therapies and help for the family. They can create an environment of love and of healing; two needed positives for a successful recovery.
