Our experiential staff is certified for working with residents through climbing events. These activities can help individuals in learning communication and recovery skills.
Not all the ropes events involve climbing high in the air. A number of ropes course activities take place on the ground. Low ropes elements help to build support within the team.
They also can teach trust and rebuild some of the cognitive functions that have been lessened by alcohol abuse. Low ropes elements usually are problem and skill building exercises that rely on the efforts of the group to provide the solution. Support is needed throughout the recovery process. Low ropes activities can help to individual define their role in support.
