The serenity of the mountains is an ideal backdrop for alcohol rehabilitation and drug rehab. The healing of nature can be a means to sobriety for you or your loved one.

At Cirque Lodge, a unique and effective alcohol and drug rehab program is used. Alcohol Rehabilitation in the MountainsIntensive therapies and treatments are used to provide proper rehabilitation. Then, fun experiential learning activities are used to teach skills for the recovery process. Treatment is founded on the 12-step program and help and support is found through 12-step meetings in the evenings. We strive to make Cirque Lodge a life changing experience for those who suffer from alcoholism. This not only comes from treatment and experiential work, but also the care and support of our dedicated staff.

Our residential alcohol rehabilitation program is based upon the needs of the individual. Each resident of our facility is dealing with very distinct problems. The program is tailored to help each individual on their own level, with the therapies and treatment they stand in need of. Individuals can be struggling personally with a number of things. Just because two individuals both are suffering from an alcohol addiction doesn't mean their condition is the same. Personalized therapy and a one-on-one approach are used to provide specific care for the recovering alcoholic.

Alcohol Rehabilitation Begins with Detox

The inpatient alcohol rehabilitation program begins with a detoxification process. Detox is needed to rid the body of alcohol toxins and treat for addiction withdrawal. Alcoholism presents life threatening problems when it comes to addiction withdrawal. Medical detox is used to stabilize the body during the initial stages of sobriety, when withdrawal is the most severe. The length of detox depends on how long it takes to stabilize the individual. More severe cases of alcoholism require a longer detoxification process.

Cirque Lodge does not offer detox in our facility. We work with a local medical detoxification facility at the University of Utah. This facility has been around for a number of decades and provides the most modern approaches to the detoxification process. When detox is completed, one of Cirque Lodge's private unmarked vehicles will transport the individual to one of our drug and alcohol rehab facilities. After an assessment process, the recovering alcoholic is prepared their very own personalized addiction treatment program.

Alcohol Rehab Elements

At Cirque Lodge, our inpatient alcohol rehab programs uses a number of elements for the recovery process. At the foundation of this program are the 12-steps. We strive to help the recovering alcoholic awaken spiritually, and provide experiences to connect them to their higher power. When residents begin making the proper steps towards recovery, they are allowed to attend 12-step meetings as a part of alcohol rehab. The 12-step approach provides help and support for recovering alcoholics after they leave rehab. AA provides a network of individuals willing to help the recovering alcoholic with long term sobriety.

The element we are most known for at Cirque Lodge is our experiential program. We use a number of fun and enjoyable activities as a part of alcohol and drug rehab. Residents learn recovery skills from such activities, all the while having a fun and enjoyable time in sobriety. Nature is used as a part of our experiential piece. Residents are given many opportunities to get out onto the mountain and experience the healing of nature. These experiential activities are not only a memorable part to alcohol rehab; they can be influential in providing internal changes for the recovery process.

Continued Rehabilitation Program

When the inpatient alcohol rehabilitation program is completed, the impulses to drink still remain. Addiction is a malady that requires a life long management. Creating a Continuing Care PlanAfter alcohol rehab, continued help and support is available for the addiction problem. There are many elements of help, therapy and support programs for the recovering alcoholic. Some individuals may benefit from staying in a sober living environment, or having a sober companion. All of these elements are covered prior to leaving alcohol and drug rehab, and are implemented in a continuing care plan.

Aftercare works with each resident in preparing a Continuing Care Plan. This plan consists of continued help and support programs for the recovery process. It is based upon the needs of the individual, and what would help them the most in sober living. Following the Continuing Care Plan is a strong form of relapse prevention and a means to long term sobriety. At the heart of this plan is the continued involvement in a 12-step fellowship. In many communities, AA is offered for those recovering from alcoholism. Our aftercare staff prepares the way for AA involvement, prior to leaving alcohol treatment at Cirque Lodge.
