Long term alcohol rehab begins with a standard 30-day primary care stay. The Cirque Lodge program is based on individualized alcohol rehab therapy of each resident. They are prescribed their own addiction treatment plan that is based upon their needs. Alcohol and drug rehab is an effective balance of treatment, therapies, and a family program. Woven into every treatment day are experiential activities meant to enhance other elements of therapy. Time spent in the alcohol rehab or drug rehab program is used to help the individual come to terms with alcoholism and learn strategies and skills to overcome the impulses to drink.

Cirque Lodge is founded on the 12-step program. During a 30-day addiction treatment stay, residents work on the initial steps of 12-step recovery and the alcohol rehab process. These steps revolve around accepting the reality of being an alcoholic and making a connection to a higher power. At Cirque Lodge, nature plays a part in our alcohol and drug rehab facility. Residents have opportunities to get out into the natural surround and enjoy many mountain based activities. This is an environment for making connections to a higher power.

When primary care is completed, individuals have a number of options. Our committed counselors and clinical staff can make recommendations on long term alcohol rehab. For some, a longer stay in the alcohol rehab program is needed. Every resident, prior to leaving, is prepared a continuing care plan for the recovery process. 12-step recovery is also continued with long term alcohol and drug rehab. Residents continue to work on the corresponding steps they have reached. 12-step fellowships are also introduced in extended care. Residents have the opportunity of working with outside 12-step fellowships, alcohol rehab groups, as well as a sponsor. This all occurs while the individual is still in an alcohol rehab program. Help and support in this setting can be a foundation for similar help and support from a 12-step fellowship or AA program in the resident's own community.

Continuing Care Plan

When long term alcohol rehab is completed, the recovering alcoholic is not left alone. Each resident is provided a continuing care plan for the recovery process. This consists of additional elements to help the individual maintain successful sobriety. Some may require more therapy and help; others may require a sober living environment at first. Each resident works with their counselor and our aftercare staff on what elements they require to help them in recovery.

The foundation of the continuing care plan is enrollment in a 12-step fellowship. Our aftercare staff seeks out active and successful 12-step fellowships for our residents in their own communities. There are many varieties of AA. They can be based on religion, community and lifestyles. Aftercare works with the resident on what type of 12-step fellowship they need for recovery, and it is implemented into their continuing care plan.
