It can be difficult in choosing the right alcohol treatment center for you or a love one. There are many types of treatment and different types of programming available. A good rule of thumb is to select programs that provide a personalized, one-on-one approach. Many programs may not supply the level of care that a personalized program does. This doesn't allow for therapy of the underlying issues that can have a hand in addiction; things like trauma, grief, codependency and psychiatric conditions (Depression, anxiety or other diagnosed disorders) The Cirque Lodge approach is to provide an individualized
residential alcohol rehab program to meet their conditions related to alcoholism and behavioral issues.
Cirque Lodge offers health care accredited
alcohol rehab programs. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) has accredited Cirque Lodge to provide health care services within our facility. This is a set of guidelines that the facility and program must adhere to for providing the highest levels of addiction treatment and care. At Cirque Lodge, we strive to provide the very best in an alcohol rehab experience. The JCAHO accreditation is a symbol to our residents of the level of commitment we strive to offer them with alcohol rehab programs.
Alcohol Rehab Programs
Cirque Lodge offers a unique balance of residential alcohol rehab programs. This balance is influential in arresting the disease of addiction and providing the right elements of healing and support. All treatment is based on a personalized program for the individual. Each individual who comes to alcohol treatment is unique and requires different levels of treatment and care. A professional assessment is used to determine the specific needs of each resident. This is used in creating a personalized treatment plan for the individual. Throughout the treatment stay, the resident works with their own addiction counselor and case worker.
The 12-steps are used as a foundation for the recovery program. Many avenues of treatment are provided; most of them have a basis on the concepts originally developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. As the resident continues through the recovery process, additional elements of the 12-step program are introduced, as well as enrollment into meetings and working with a sponsor. Since rehab isn't a long enough period to accomplish many steps, the focus of alcohol and drug rehab is to provide a solid foundation of the initial steps, dealing chiefly on establishing connections to one's higher power.
A part of each treatment day is set aside for a different type of recovery program. Experiential therapy provides a number of activities and programs that enhance the recovery process. A part of the 12-step approach is to have vital spiritual experiences. The experiential program gives those in alcohol rehab a number of opportunities to have these types of experiences.

Whether it is working with horses, climbing a ropes course, or out in the quiet serenity of nature, many opportunities are provided to help individuals make the internal changes needed to overcome alcoholism.
Continuing the Recovery Process
Even with the right levels of care and
private alcohol rehab programs, the possibility of relapse is very real. To avoid this from happening, the individual must continue to work at their recovery. People must take an active approach to life after alcohol and drug rehab is completed. They must continue to manage their impulses to drink and continue to use positive programs to help them. Addiction professionals feel it takes about a year of sobriety before the impulses of alcohol begin to lessen. Even then one must continue to work at their sobriety throughout their lives.
When residents are ready to leave the Cirque Lodge program, they are not left alone. Each resident is provided a Continuing Care Plan for the recovery process. Following this plan is a solid foundation for staying sober and achieving a successful recovery. Our aftercare staff works with the resident to develop a Plan that meets their needs for recovery. This can consist of additional alcohol treatment elements, support groups, therapy and sober living environments. To help residents continue the 12-step program beyond addiction treatment, aftercare prepares the way for recovering residents in local 12-step fellowships. These are found within the resident's own community.
