Primary Care Stay

Alcohol treatment at Cirque Lodge consists of a 30-day treatment program. Those who are in their initial 30-day treatment are in primary care. Primary care is personalized to provide each resident with a specific alcohol and drug rehab program. Residents in treatment for alcohol abuse or alcoholism receive an experience that addresses their specific needs. Primary care at Cirque Lodge is a balance of personal, group and family therapies. An effective alcohol treatment plan is used in arresting the disease of addiction in clients. Daily involvement in our experiential program also provides a unique and life changing recovery experience.

Residents in Primary Care begin working the 12-steps of recovery. The first 30-days are used in establishing a solid foundation within the 12-step recovery program and its concepts. The initial steps of recovery focus on two things, recognizing and admitting there is a problem with alcohol abuse, and making connections to a higher power. Nature and the mountain are used at Cirque Lodge in helping residents to find these connections or to reconnect to a power greater than one's own. When rehab is completed, the fellowship and support of 12-step meetings can be a needed crutch during the difficult process of recovery.

Extended Care at the Studio

Most individuals need more than 30-days in an inpatient alcohol treatment program to truly gain a strong grasp on the concepts of recovery. The more time a person has in recovery, the chance of relapse become less likely. Cirque Lodge offers extended care stays at our Studio facility. Those in extended care receive the same intensive and supportive alcohol treatment care during the additional months of their stay. Extended care in alcohol rehab is an active step forward in continuing the recovery process. These residents continue to benefit from a personalized addiction treatment approach; while additional skills and strategies of relapse prevention are developed.

Residents in extended care continue the 12-step process. They work to build solidly on the 3rd step (turning over their will to a higher power), and begin to work their fourth and fifth steps. Those in extended care also attend outside 12-step meetings and begin getting comfortable with 12-step fellowships. They are even assigned a temporary sponsor to work with one-on-one. This can be used to help them build socially on a sober lifestyle. Something they initially might not be used to.

Continuing Care Plan after Alcohol Treatment

When a mountain alcohol treatment plan is completed, the resident is not left to their own devices. The Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab facility continues to provide additional help, care and support. Prior to discharge, each resident is prepared a Continuing Care Plan (CCP) to help them through the recovery process. The CCP consists of additional elements of help care and support. This can come in the forms of furthering addiction therapies, an aftercare group, and even a sober living home for the initial months of recovery. Those who successfully complete the Cirque Program are also given a number of privileges to help them with long term sobriety. One we are well known for is our Guesting Privilege.

Central to the CCP is continued enrollment and involvement in a 12-step fellowship. Prior to leaving alcohol rehab at Cirque Lodge, our aftercare staff will work with residents in finding the best measures of 12-step meetings in their local communities. There are many types of successfully run 12-step fellowships, based on different belief systems and lifestyles. Aftercare works with residents in finding the best types of fellowships for them. It is still up to the recovering alcoholic whether they voluntarily attend such meetings. However, with the CCP, those in recovery have the tools and support available to them when they return home.
