Alcohol treatment and drug rehab are all we do at the Cirque Lodge. We are a residential facility committed to providing the highest levels of care for those struggling with addiction and alcoholism.

Our residential
alcohol treatment program is based upon the needs of the individual. It is balanced with fun and educational experiential activities and all of this is founded on the traditions of the 12-step program. We can help your loved one who is suffering with alcoholism. Alcohol rehab is founded on the needs of the individual here. We understand that each individual is unique and can require different avenues of treatment and care. Our focus is to personalize our efforts to emphasize these different things. Cirque is staffed by caring professionals, who work with clients on a personal one-on-one basis. All of this is closely monitored to create the most personal and effective recovery experience. We strive to make the
inpatient alcohol treatment program a foundation for long term sobriety.
Preparing a Personalized Treatment Program
Our residential alcohol treatment program begins with the initial phone call to our admissions office. During the admissions process, information is collected. This is used in laying the groundwork for a personalized treatment plan. Prior to admission, residents are required to fill out a pre-intake assessment. This provides us information on medical histories, any diagnosed conditions our clinical team should be aware of, and insight into a drug or alcohol abuse history. This information is used to determine the severity of addiction, as well as how to go about dual diagnosis.
After admission, each resident undergoes an assessment process. This consists of additional tests and inventories to determine the individual on a psychological and emotional level. Each client is also required to meet with our psychiatric professional in determining any additional needs or medications. The results of the assessment and admissions are tailored into a personal treatment plan. This is an actual plan that is tracked and monitored by the members of our treatment staff. The staff meets together each and every day to discuss each resident, and make changes to the treatment plan for a better experience.
Experiential Venues in Residential Alcohol Treatment
Balanced into the personalized effort are daily experiential therapy activities. These are effective activities that inspire spiritual and internal changes. Cirque has a number of venues we use in experiential activities. The mountain is one such venue. Residents embark on many different and unique mountain activities. These are oftentimes used to teach lessons on recovery and concepts of the 12-step program. We even use a private helicopter to transport residents to remote mountain places. It is a venue where they can make spiritual connections to the mountain.
Many experiential lessons are also learned with our ropes course. The unique thing about our ropes and climbing facility is that it is indoors. The massive sound stage at our Studio houses a number of high and low ropes events. Those in alcohol rehab can learn many life lessons and lessons about the behavior developed through alcoholism through these challenging exercises. Working the high ropes events can help residents in addressing their fears and in building confidence within themselves.
Horses are also a part of our residential alcohol treatment program. Cirque has a specialized equine program that is profoundly effective for those suffering from addiction.

Residents get to work personally with horses and members of our experiential team through a number of exercises. These exercises teach life changing lessons on establishing boundaries, building trust and asking for help. It always seems clients learn important lessons from working with the horses. These lessons always seem to be a different experience for each resident.
Recovery and 12-step Work
All elements of a
private alcohol treatment program at Cirque Lodge are founded on the concepts of the 12-step program. The 12-steps are the predominant form of recovery efforts used in addiction programs to date. At Cirque, we strive to provide an effective introduction to the 12-steps and establish a solid foundation of these steps in clients. Since rehab is not a long enough period of time to work through a lot of the steps, the Cirque focus is to establish a foundation of the first 2-3 steps during a 30-day primary care program. These are the steps that deal with accepting that alcoholism is a problem and that life is unmanageable, and also learning to connect and rely upon ones higher power.
The advantage to 12-step work comes after addiction treatment is completed. It provides a foundation for continuing on after. Cirque Lodge works with residents in creating a Continuing Care Plan for their departure. Central to this plan is continuing to work 12-steps and continued involvement in a fellowship like AA. These programs provide additional support with groups and sponsors. A firm grasp of these steps is oftentimes the solution for those who struggle with alcoholism. The relationship to self and to a higher power can provide a strong tie for a lasting recovery.
