A small group of individuals find themselves partially submerged in a river. With fly rods in hand, an instructor assists them in learning some of the intricacies of fly fishing. The interesting aspect, they did not pay for this as a class or course. These individuals are in alcohol and drug rehab. Fly fishing is an activity they take part in, as a process of rehabilitation and recovery. The instructor is certified to work with alcoholics and addicts. He uses this opportunity to teach cognitive rehabilitation lessons, and incorporate it into the elements of fly fishing.Fly fishing is an experiential therapy.
