Studies have shown that an individual with such a disorder is more susceptible to influences of drugs and alcohol in the central nervous system. All of that said there are a lot of things that go into an alcohol or drug addiction. Treatment for addiction has got to be personalized to meet these needs. A rigorous assessment process and personal, one-on-one therapy are used by drug rehab programs to address the underlying issues for each client.
