Experiential Therapy in Drug Rehab
The experiential program is a very unique and effective part to treatment at Cirque Lodge. Dave and his team provide a number of different activities, both indoor and out, that provide a healing concept to the recovery process. Each day, residents have the opportunity to work with horses, go out into nature, have challenges on a ropes course, or can even work with art and pottery. The experience itself is a teacher of concepts. However, experiential therapy also provides lessons on the 12-steps, asking for help, and recovery.
Dave Beck is an outdoor enthusiast and horse trainer. Nature and the mountain play an integral part to the alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge. Both his experience and the experiences of Dave's staff provide a unique and healing element to addiction treatment. Clients are given a number of opportunities to get out into nature. Activities involving the mountain and the river are accompanied with spiritual lessons of recovery. These activities also provide residents with an escape from struggles as well. It is an element of alcohol and drug rehab that is fun and enjoyable. These concepts can help residents to find ways to have fun in their own recovery.
