When a resident has graduated our program he or she is not done with the treatment process. Addiction treatment is a prolonged process one must monitor daily. A powerful advantage to continuing care is finding a support group in your area and maintaining stability in sobriety through them. At Cirque Lodge, we have a weekly continuing support program offered locally to alumni of our program. Our drug rehab continuing care counselors work hard to find alumni the best support program located to their place of living. The goal is to keep a structure of support after someone has left our program. Afetrcare makes sure these needs are met and that an alumni has the needed support surrounding them.

At Cirque Lodge, we follow the guidelines of the 12-step modality inspired by Alcoholics Anonymous. We couple that with cognitive and behavioral therapy programs to produce better results. When an individual graduates from our program we encourage them to continue on with the 12-step process that they learned here, coupled with their genuine overall experience they had. After treatment is completed from a drug rehab caring facility, continuing a 12-step support based programs like AA. A former resident can continue in their path of addiction treatment through frequent support from these types of programs.

Drug Rehab continuing care also is encouraging graduates of our program to get an addiction sponsor. Sponsors are a strong tool in the regular day-to-day process of living. The majority of alcohol and drug rehab sponsors have similarly been in a situation where they themselves sought after rehabilitation and achieved it. They can show you support not only as a guide but as a friend in the difficult drug rehab process. This program is in place not only to educate, but to inspire loved ones who may be struggling with addiction. Family members are educated on the nature of drug abuse. Many people have misconceptions when it comes to addiction. Our goal is to clear up those misconceptions so that a loved one has a real understanding of the disease. Another important aspect of the family program is to open up lines of communication between family members. The family can be a powerful tool in drug rehab continuing care. By attending our family program a loved has a better understanding and communication with a graduate of our program. The family program is made available for all of our clients at no additional drug rehab.

Alumni Programs with Drug Rehab Continuing Care

Our drug rehab continuing care program is ever increasing its efforts on our alumni. Our goal is to ensure that our alumni stay on the path of recovery and refocus their efforts on sobriety whenever necessary. We hold an annual alumni reunion every fall and invite all graduates of our program to attend. This is always a spectacular event that many comments are a great boost to continued sobriety. We have an array of activities and lectures and group sittings that inspire and encourage continuation. The alumni reunion can spark up remembrance of the experience at Cirque Lodge, what was learned and what changed lives. The alumni reunion is a fun and inspiring aspect to our drug rehab continuing care program. It amazes us to see some of our original clients still return to us each year for the reunion.
