Personalized Drug Rehab Program

At Cirque Lodge, addiction treatment is based upon meeting the needs of the individual. Each client comes to our drug rehabilitation facility with distinct problems that need addressed. It can be a drug or an alcohol addiction, or an addiction and a psychiatric problem like depression. Our focus is to design a personalized drug rehabilitation program with the right attentions to the clients' needs. Each client of the Cirque Lodge program is assigned their own personal counselor for one-on-one treatment and care.

A rigorous assessment process begins each personalized alcohol rehab or drug rehab program. This includes a huge battery of professionalized tests that determine what type of addiction problem we are facing. A part of the assessment process is some time with the Cirque Lodge psychiatrist. As a dual diagnosis addiction treatment facility, our psychiatrist works to determine any underlying factors that can be involved in the addiction. The results of these tests are implemented into a treatment plan for that individual. Our treatment staff works to carry out this plan in a caring and confidential manner.

12-step Rehabilitation Elements

The drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge is based upon the 12-step program created by Alcoholics Anonymous. Treatment and therapy are founded on the 12-step modality and AA's Big Book. After an initial week or two or treatment, clients are involved in 12-step meetings and support groups. Clients also begin work with addiction sponsors. The 12-step program supplies a support network for clients after they leave drug rehab. A continuing care plan is created for each client, prior to leaving our drug rehabilitation facility. This plan includes an active involvement in 12-step groups and meetings after rehab.

As a 12-step program, Cirque Lodge is spiritually based. A part of treatment is focused on helping individuals recover from drug addiction on a spiritual level. There is a misconception that 12-step programs are religious. We focus more on providing spiritual healing in our own way. How the concepts of this healing are accepted is up to the individual. We use nature and the spirit of the mountain as healing elements to the 12-step program. We strive to provide vital spiritual experiences to enhance our clients' personal recovery from drug addiction.

Family Element to Drug Rehab

The individual in drug rehab isn't the only one who may be suffering. Alcohol and drug addiction has far reaching affects. Family members and loved ones can also struggle, due to their loved ones alcohol or drug problem. The drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge also consists of a family program to address these concerns within the family. The program involves a number of family based rehabilitation elements for the family, along with their loved one in treatment.

Family week occurs every three weeks of our addiction treatment cycle. It is an integral part to the other treatment elements that we offer. Residents of the Cirque Lodge facilities are encouraged to invite their family to come to participate. The program consists of lectures and other educational elements. Through this, the family can come to terms with understanding the nature of addiction, as well as the importance of their role in recovery. Experiential activities are used to get the family on the same level when it comes to problem solving. Most importantly, therapy is used to address some of the issues that the family may be experiencing. Family Week can be a tough time for some. When it is completed, it is extremely therapeutic and an effective element.

Using Experiential Rehabilitation Elements

The difference to the drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge is our emphasis on experiential therapy. Experiential activities give addiction treatment clients a hands on opportunity at recovery. We use a number of indoor and outdoor activities to teach recovery elements. Experiential activities are used to teach a number of coping strategies, as well as imperative life lessons. We use things like horses, a ropes course, and even a private helicopter to instruct and teach these vital lessons.

The experiential program is also used to teach concepts of 12-step recovery. We offer a number of outdoor activities as a daily part of drug rehab. Out on the mountain, surrounded by nature, it is easy to be moved spiritually. The healing supplied by nature really drives home the point of this emphasis.
