12-Step Treatment Facility
Alcohol and drug rehab is founded on the 12-step program at Cirque Lodge. Treatment focuses on the disease concept of addiction, and provides a recovery program based on continuing the steps for a long term sobriety. In addition, drug and alcohol treatment also consists of intensive therapies, family treatment, and our experiential program. These elements also work on the concepts of the 12-steps developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. The use of experiential activities and the involvement of nature help us to create a spiritual awakening for those seeking to overcome addiction.
Since alcohol and drug rehab isn’t long enough to cover many of the steps, our focus is to provide a solid foundation of the initial recovery steps. After rehab, a plan is put into place to continue the steps with meetings like AA, NA or CA. The initial steps involve finding and establishing connections to one’s higher power. The power of nature and the spirit of the mountain greatly help with this.
People can have misconceptions that spirituality means religious. Treatment at Cirque Lodge allows the resident to view and understand spirituality in whatever manner they feel most comfortable. Whether it is God, Nature, the support group, or even family, we strive to help our residents establish a solid connection to their higher power. This connection is integral to continuing on after rehab, and obtaining a life long sobriety.
