Family Week is an integral part of the treatment approach at the Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab. Every three weeks into the treatment cycle is set aside and designated for Family Week. Residents and clients are encouraged to invite the close members of their family to be involved in the activities. As much as Family Week is helpful to residents, it is also beneficial for family members.

Addiction can affect more than just those who use. Family members and close loved ones can also be deeply impacted by the erratic behavior of addiction. Part of Family Week is providing healing for family members who may be suffering. Family week is a four day program. It consists of many activities and therapy elements. Family members are educated on the nature of addiction. They are also treated to many of the experiential activities that help clients to learn and grow in recovery. Most importantly the family has a chance to clear up any misunderstandings that are developed, because of addiction.

Family Week is just one of the many elements provided by the Cirque Lodge drug rehab program. It can provide a platform for family healing and recovery.

At Cirque Lodge, drug and alcohol treatment is provided in a personalized format for each client. In this manner, clients receive treatment required by his/her needs. This can change throughout the duration of the program. Sometimes the alcoholic/addict is a little resilient when in drug rehab for the first time. They can be confrontational and a little harder to treat. By providing personalized care we can get to the heart of the matter when it comes to addiction. Over time the resilient addict can open up and be more willing to accept the treatment offered.

The rocky road that results in chemical dependency to drugs and drink can be very different for each client. The same forms of treatment that work for one will not be the answer for all. Detox is a serious issue that is best left to the medical professionals. Following detox, clients are transported to the Cirque Lodge Facility in one of our private unmarked vehicles.

One of the unique activities at Cirque Lodge involves our private helicopter. Residents are given a chance to experience and enjoy private flights into the local mountains. The beauty of nature is discovered in a whole new light, high in the air. The helicopter itself is one of the finest in luxury flying machines. It’s a safe and comfortable experience in itself. It gives the residents of Cirque Lodge a therapeutic experience that is different than standard forms of addiction treatment.

There is a point in each flight where the helicopter lands in a remote mountain location. These mountain locations are only possibly reached by air. They are quiet and serene places, literally untouched by man. In this quiet place, those in recovery have a chance to reflect and meditate. The beautiful surround of nature can provide the ideal backdrop for connecting with a higher power.

Throughout the flight, drug rehab clients experience many wonders of the mountain. It is not uncommon to see much of the wildlife that makes these mountains their home. The beauties of the mountain change depending on the time of year. From flowers of spring, to the changing leaves of autumn, the wonders of nature are a sight to behold. For those in treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, this experience can be a focal point for their time spent in drug rehab and on into recovery.

Everyday there are stories in the news about pharmacy robberies. The culprits are not looking for money, they are looking for pills. The experiential program at Cirque Lodge provides a unique approach to addiction treatment. In addition to effective therapies and treatments, the experiential program provides a therapeutic balance of rare and enjoyable activities. The experiential program takes full advantage of the Lodge’s mountain location. Nature and mountain based activities such as hiking, river rafting, fly fishing, mountain biking, and even snow shoeing in the winter provide their own unique forms of recovery from addiction.

The mountain provides its own elements of healing. For those who are overcoming drug and alcohol addiction, the mountain can be a sanctuary away from the conflicts of the world.
