Drug Treatment Plan

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

There is no set way to treat the disease of alcohol and drug addiction. It is an issue that has varying social, emotional, and psychological factors. What works in treating one, may not be the answer for treating another. When an individual comes to Cirque Lodge for a drug rehab program, they are prescribed their own treatment plan. This drug treatment plan is built upon a thorough assessment process. It is tailored to address the specific needs of the individual, their drug abuse history, as well as underlying factors.

The drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge consists of many elements. It is a 12-step program. It is one-on-one therapy. It is also a number of effective elements you don’t normally find in a rehab facility. The array of treatment options allows for the individual to find what works best for their addiction problems. For some, it is a lot of one-on-one time with an addiction counselor. For others it is enjoying nature in the experiential program. And still, others may benefit from the healing that comes from our family program. With a personalized drug treatment plan, each individual can discover what they need for recovery.

Breakthroughs in Alcohol RehabWhen a person comes to treatment for alcohol problems, it can be a challenge at first. Sometimes the person just is not in the mental state to accept treatment. They can be viewing alcohol rehab as some sort of punishment and not as a way to help them. In fact, they have a difficult seeing their drinking as a problem. With a caring environment, and personalized alcohol treatment, an individual can begin to see the problems of alcoholism. A person can go from struggling to make breakthroughs to recovery.

With the alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge, these breakthroughs are made through the personalized treatment of the individual. The program is tailored to address the specific needs of alcoholism. One-on-one therapy with a personal addiction counselor is used to address some of the underlying problems. The alcoholic can go from being in denial to accepting the problem. These breakthroughs don’t happen overnight. It takes time and a lot of care. The alcohol rehab program at Cirque Lodge is committed to helping individuals struggling with alcoholism make these breakthroughs.

Snow-Shoeing Drug Rehab Activity

Here in Utah, we are starting to see the changes in the seasons. The weather is cooling down significantly, and there have been a few snow storms. The Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains is beautiful during the winter months. For avid winter sports enthusiasts, these mountains are an ideal destination. For those suffering from addiction, this winter location can be a time to get their life back again. Cirque Lodge, a world renowned alcohol and drug rehab facility, can provide hope and healing to eliminate the despair of addiction.

At Cirque Lodge, the winter months bring on many fun winter-based activities. These activities are used as a treatment element that compliments standardized therapies and addiction programs. One unique activity is snow-shoeing. Our drug rehab clients are flown by private helicopter to beautiful mountain peaks. This unique location makes for a completely different snow-shoeing experience. For those in drug rehab, it is a chance to connect with a higher power, and to experience an internal change. For many of our drug rehab clients, it is the experience of Cirque Lodge that they benefit from. Such a life changing experience can be what is needed to overcome the perils of addiction.

Caring Drug Addiction TreatmentWhen it is time to get the loved one help for a drug addiction, a caring environment can make all the difference. When in a drug rehab facility, the addict can not only feel at home, but genuinely feel loved as a part of addiction treatment. Sometimes, it takes more than one trip to treatment to overcome the perils of addiction. A caring environment of a drug and alcohol program can make a difference in the life of the addict and their family.

At Cirque Lodge, part of our treatment focus is the caring environment. From our licensed counselors, down to our housekeeping staff, you will find a loving approach to our drug rehab clients. For some who struggle with addiction, it is this feeling of love and caring that they truly stand in need of. It can supply hope to what was previously a bleak outlook on life. It can provide spiritual experiences that changes perspective from addiction to recovery.

Families Working Through Addiction Together

Family Program in Alcohol and Drug RehabWhen it comes to family members and an addicted loved one, there can be some ill will. The behavior of addiction can greatly strain relationships that are built on loving family ties. An addict can have resentment for family members when they put the person in a drug rehab program. For many of the people who are struggling with addiction, the caring of family is really what they need.

The emphasis on the family is one of the things that set apart the alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge. Cirque’s family program is a regular and abundant part of the addiction treatment cycle. It takes place once every three weeks, and drug rehab clients are encouraged to invite their family members and loved ones. It is not only a chance to see how rehab is treating that loved one, but also a chance to learn, grow, and heal as a family unit.

Sitting eye-to eye with those that love you, discussing addiction and its behavior, can be very sobering. For many individuals, it is the first time in their lives that such a discussion occurs, sober. It can be humbling. For others, it can be difficult when they must admit to family their shortcomings. All in all, it is healing that prevails. When the addict sees that the family is there to love and support them, it is healing that prevails. The family program at Cirque Lodge is a four day program. It is filled with many activities, lectures, and groups meant to educate the family on the nature of addiction. Special therapies are also provided for the family, so the healing process can begin.

Providing a Continuing Care Plan

Creating a Continuing Care Plan

It takes time to overcome the struggles of drug or alcohol addiction. The affect that addiction has on the central nervous system does not immediately go away. It requires time and space away from drug and alcohol abuse for the brain to recover. When in drug rehab or an addiction program, it can be easier on the individual. There are no immediate influences of drugs or alcohol. When one leaves rehab however, the influences of addiction can begin to creep back into life. A part of the rehabilitation process is to prepare the recovering addict/alcoholic for when this occurs, and arm them with coping skills and support.

Aftercare is a way to assist the individual, once they have left the safety of the treatment facility. At Cirque Lodge, each client is prescribed a continuing care plan by our aftercare coordinators. This plan is thoroughly discussed with client before they leave treatment. It involves finding and implementing the right aftercare types of programs that specific client is in need of. For some it may require additional therapy programs and counseling. For others it may just require a strong AA Program. Our aftercare coordinators can work with each patient to find the right programs, counseling, and support meetings that meet their needs.

For local alumni, Cirque Lodge supplies aftercare meeting ever Tuesday at 7:00 pm. This is a good way to stay surrounded by the strength of the treatment program. It is available to all alumni no matter when they came through the program. Our purpose is that it supplies needed support in times of need.
