Alcohol Rehab with a Long Term Plan
Wednesday, December 31st, 2008
Recovery from alcoholism is a process that can take some time. The way many individuals get their lives back into control is with an alcohol rehab program. During rehab, one comes to terms with their addiction, and develops coping skills used to deal with addictive impulses. These skills can be used to deal with such impulses after one has left the confines of the alcohol rehab program, and is once again faced by temptations. At Cirque Lodge, prior to departing alcohol and drug rehab, we prepare the recovering alcoholic for this with a long term plan for their recovery.
Upon completion of alcohol rehab at Cirque Lodge, each client is provided with a continuing care plan. This plan consists of different elements to assist in the recovery process. A foundation of the continuing care plan is enrollment in an Alcoholics Anonymous program. There are many AA meetings available, and our continuing care staff seeks out the best AA program to meet specific needs of the individual. Our client’s needs are something we take most seriously. Even in aftercare, we strive to address and meet our client’s needs with what they require for a long term and successful recovery. For some, this could mean additional therapy sessions, or group therapies. For others it may just mean an involved 12-step group and an addiction sponsor. Our aftercare staff works with each client to find what will help them make and keep long term goals of sobriety.
Additionally, Cirque Lodge provides unique programs for Alumni to help them with a long term recovery. Former clients are invited to guest at our facility for up to 96 hours. This is a chance to refresh and refocus efforts on recovery. Cirque Lodge also provides a family program every three weeks of our treatment regimen. Cirque Lodge Alumni are invited to come and participate in lectures and other elements of Family Week. The Studio facility also hosts a weekly aftercare meeting for former Cirque Lodge clients. These efforts are to help the clients of our alcohol rehab program to stay focused and continually working towards positive recovery goals.
