Bonfire at the Alumni Reunion, Provides SupportWhen the clients of Cirque Lodge leave alcohol and drug rehab, they aren’t left alone. As a treatment center, we want to be involved with Cirque alum throughout their recovery. We provide former clients with a Guesting Privilege, where individuals can return to the facility for up to 96 hours for a ‘rehab refresher’. We also host aftercare parties, meetings and gatherings for local alumni throughout the year. In the autumn, we have an ever growing Alumni Reunion, a weekend filled with fun and enjoyable recovery activities. All of these things not only help Cirque to stay a part of individual’s lives, but also help us rekindle and rebuild the flames of recovery.

Support is an essential crutch to the recovery process. Many of the problems that are faced in recovery can be made easier with the right means of support. Support can begin in the home. At Cirque Lodge, we offer an effective family program to teach family members how to provide this support in the home. As a 12-step drug rehab, we allow our clients to become involved in 12-step meetings, so they can begin to build their support network for recovery. After a treatment stay is completed, individuals in recovery can be faced with a barrage of temptations and influences. Proper means of support and involvement can lessen these burdens and be an influential element to recovery.

Help And Healing With Family ProgramsToday we are wrapping up another Family Week program here at Cirque Lodge. It is a powerful piece to the alcohol and drug rehab treatment we offer. The addict/alcoholic isn’t the only one who is suffering. Family members can also struggle with the behaviors their loved one has displayed. Family week provides an avenue for the family to begin their healing process from the addiction as well.

There can be a number of misconceptions with the family and the addicted loved one. These misconceptions can bring a lot of strife and underlying problems. Part of Family Week is to educate family on the nature of addiction, as well as the behaviors that addiction can create. Therapy is provided for the family. In these sessions, the family and the addict can work through some of the misconceptions. For some, therapy can initially be tough. In the long run however, it is highly therapeutic and allows the family to heal.

Family Week is a foundational aspect to the Cirque Lodge drug rehab program. It occurs every three weeks, and residents are encouraged to invite their close family members. This four day long program is full of activities, lectures, therapy sessions and of course healing. It gives the family members a chance to see the change that alcohol and drug rehab is providing their loved ones.

Support for the Recovery ProcessOvercoming an addiction to drugs or alcohol can be a challenge. It takes time and personal commitment. Even when someone has gone through treatment or a drug rehab program, the impulses to use or drink are still present. Most treatment authorities feel it takes about a year before these influences lessen. Drug rehab is available to first get the individual off of the substance, and second, prepare them for the recovery process. Once an individual leaves a rehab facility, they will continually have to strive and work at their recovery. This process is made easier by being involved in programs that continue to strengthen and support the sobriety.

At Cirque Lodge, we work with resident on a continuing care plan. This is the plan they follow once they leave alcohol and drug rehab. Just like our personalized drug rehab program, the continuing care plan is designed to meet the specific needs of the individual. There are a number of programs to help individuals once they have left treatment for addiction. Involvement in such programs can ease some of the burdens that come during the initial months of recovery. They provide support and assistance when it is needed.

Cirque Lodge also provides additional help for our alumni. Graduates of our facility are invited to return and guest with us when needed. This is a privilege given free of charge, as long as the individual has not relapsed. Former residents can also come and be involved in our family program activities that occur every three weeks. We even have aftercare activities for local Alumni to help them through the recovery process. It takes time and effort to overcome the influences of alcohol and drug addiction. Caring programs and support groups can make a difference in strengthening recovery.

A growing concern in society today revolves around the abuse of prescription medications. The use of prescription drugs for medical conditions is at an all time high. Equally, cases of individuals struggling from prescription drug addiction are high as well. Some of the drugs meant to help us have addictive substances to them. Over time, the body and mind can become attached to these substances. The concern is that these drugs are affecting people who are not looking to abuse drugs, just an answer to a health problem.

We have noticed this increase of prescription drug cases at Cirque Lodge. Individuals are seeing the need for drug treatment for prescription pills. Therapy Session for Dual Diagnosis

When people come to Cirque Lodge for treatment for alcohol or drug addiction, sometimes it isn’t the only problem. Many individuals can struggle from other co-occurring conditions that can be a strong influence in drinking and using. Such conditions as depression or anxiety disorders can be factors to addiction. Using alcohol or drugs as a self medication can become a common practice for individuals with these types of disorders. The mind that is struggling with these types of chemical imbalances can be more susceptible to the influences of these substances. Commonly, an addiction is developed and the problem is greatly compounded.

Cirque Lodge offers dual diagnosis treatment for those in alcohol and drug rehab. As a dual diagnosis facility we can treat the co-occurring conditions in addition to addressing the problems of chemical dependency. The individualized treatment plan is designed to help the individual with therapies that address both issues of the co-occurring problem. Individuals can be unaware of their mood disorders. The abuse of drugs and alcohol suppressed the feelings and emotions that such disorders can bring. Once in drug rehab, these feelings or conditions can arise. We help with our dual diagnosis program. Clients receive diagnosis and assistance from a licensed and experienced treatment staff. Overcoming the problems of the disorder can make all the difference in a lasting recovery from the alcohol or drug addiction.
