One-on-one therapy is provided for residents in drug rehab. People can be struggling with a number of problems other than just addiction and substance abuse. Therapy helps to treat for the underlying issues that alcoholic/addict might have, as well as the problems they can have with codependency.

Our addiction counselors also provide group therapies for residents. These groups are both combined and gender specific. Different topics and elements are focused on in these group therapies. The group element helps to build support within the residents. It also provides levels of empathy, as well as help from those in a similar situation. Support is needed throughout the recovery process. This begins with group type of therapy in alcohol and drug rehab.

During Family Week, therapies are also provided for the residents’ family members. Family Week consists of a number of educational workshops and experiential programming, but the most effective part is the focus groups and personal family therapies. In this setting, family can address the problems they have within the home with codependency and establishing boundaries. This process can begin to rebuild trust with relationships and prepare the way for the recovery process in the home.

Sometimes it takes getting out of the situation to overcome the problem of addiction. Inpatient alcohol and drug rehab functions as a safe haven away from the problems of alcohol abuse and drug addiction. The controlled environment of an inpatient facility provides the alcoholic\addict with protection from their biggest problem, themselves. During a stay in rehab, individuals develop the skills needed to manage their impulses to use or drink. Therapies are also provided to help with the more deeply rooted underlying problems of addiction.

Cirque Lodge is an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab facility. The privacy of our mountain location offers a quiet and safe place for receiving treatment for the addiction problem. A comfortable environment with fine accommodations and relaxing amenities are a part of the treatment experience. The many struggles that fuel alcoholism or drug addiction are left at the gates. The individual has the opportunity to overcome their condition and develop the skills needed to manage addictive impulses for the long term.

The very sobering truth of addiction is that people die from this condition every day. Alcohol and drug rehab can be a means to saving that life. A comfortable and caring inpatient facility can provide the addiction treatment and therapies needed to arrest the condition. Programs are then introduced that teach strategies and skills against addictive impulses. Today is the final day of our Family Week program. Residents and their family members participate in a lecture regarding aftercare this morning. Elements of aftercare are a solid effort at relapse prevention. This lecture helps family members better understand the importance and types of aftercare programs that are available for their loved one in recovery, and even support programs they can attend as well.

Prior to leaving alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge, each resident works with their personal counselor and our aftercare staff on developing a plan for the recovery process. There are many ways to help with relapse prevention. The best measures of aftercare go into the individualized Continuing Care Plan for that resident leaving treatment. Involvement in outpatient treatments and support meetings can be a successful measure for the recovery process. Family involvement in these programs can be influential at their loved one having a lasting sobriety.

A part of the alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge takes place in the mountains. Residents of our facilities have many opportunities to get out on the mountain and enjoy nature based activities. We offer an experiential program as a part of treatment. Lessons and strategies for the recovery process are learned through these types of activities. Residents can get out and experience the peace of being surrounded by nature, as well as enjoying life through activities like biking, rafting and fly fishing.

There is a healing that is found in the serenity of nature. Residents have opportunities to find their own quiet spot, on certain excursions, and meditate. This can be a powerful experience. Individuals working through the recovery process can use this time to make life changing decisions and internal changes. As a 12-step alcohol and drug rehab facility, an emphasis is placed on making connections to a higher power. Out on the mountain, surrounded by the quiet serenity of nature, one can find and make these connections.

Alcohol and drug rehab is founded on the 12-step program at Cirque Lodge. Treatment focuses on the disease concept of addiction, and provides a recovery program based on continuing the steps for a long term sobriety. In addition, drug and alcohol treatment also consists of intensive therapies, family treatment, and our experiential program. These elements also work on the concepts of the 12-steps developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. The use of experiential activities and the involvement of nature help us to create a spiritual awakening for those seeking to overcome addiction.

Since alcohol and drug rehab isn’t long enough to cover many of the steps, our focus is to provide a solid foundation of the initial recovery steps. After rehab, a plan is put into place to continue the steps with meetings like AA, NA or CA. The initial steps involve finding and establishing connections to one’s higher power. The power of nature and the spirit of the mountain greatly help with this.

People can have misconceptions that spirituality means religious. Treatment at Cirque Lodge allows the resident to view and understand spirituality in whatever manner they feel most comfortable. Whether it is God, Nature, the support group, or even family, we strive to help our residents establish a solid connection to their higher power. This connection is integral to continuing on after rehab, and obtaining a life long sobriety.

A part of drug and alcohol rehab at Cirque Lodge is our family program. Every three weeks of the addiction treatment is devoted to family based therapy and programming. Family Week runs from Tuesday through Friday, and is filled with a number of workshops, lectures, therapies and activities. Residents are encouraged to invite family members to attend. Family members learn what goes on in drug rehab and alcohol rehab, as well as receive an education and therapy. Family even has a chance to enjoy our delicious culinary experience with breakfast and lunch served as a part of the family program.

Family Week has many elements. Part of it provides an education on the nature and behaviors of addiction. This helps the family better understand the condition of their loved one in alcohol rehab. The family can play an integral role in the recovery process. This education helps to raise awareness, and instruct on ways to avoid enabling. An aftercare lecture is also provided to address the need for additional support and programming upon completion of alcohol rehab.

Family members also have a chance to participate in some of the experiential activities that are a part of our treatment program. Each day of Family Week provides a different experiential activity for family to take a part in. The family can see and experience for themselves the unique and powerful piece that experiential work provides those in alcohol rehab. Some of these activities teach valuable lessons and skills for recovery. Others provide spiritual healing from nature. When a person is mired down by the struggles of alcoholism, home life can be a struggle. This effective program helps to open lines of communication and begin the healing process at the family level.

A Primary Care stay at Cirque Lodge is 30-days. However, this may not be enough time in a treatment environment. Residents can continue their addiction treatment for an Extended Care stay. Studies have shown that a 60-day or 90-day program is more effective for overcoming addiction. (A lot of drug rehab centers are changing their programs to a 90-day treatment). Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge consists of 30-day treatment programs. Prior to completing primary care, addiction counselors may suggest additional time is needed before leaving the facility. Some individuals simply are not prepared for the recovery process.

Extended care at Cirque Lodge is a forward approach to continuing the recovery process. Extended treatment stays take place at our Studio facility. Residents in extended treatment also have additional efforts, and programs offered them than those in a Primary stay. They are allowed to obtain passes to go out and work with an addiction sponsor and outside 12-step meetings. Primary Care focuses on the first three steps of 12-step recovery. Residents in Extended Care work on additional steps during their stay. All of this is still based upon the personalized treatment plan of the individual.

Whether it is a primary or an extended stay, the residents are provided a Continuing Care Plan (CCP) when they are discharged. This plan is filled with additional therapy and support elements for after alcohol and drug rehab. Residents may require additional therapy. They can feel more comfortable spending the first few months in a sober living environment. These elements are a part of the CCP. This plan is based on the individual needs of the residents. Our counselors and aftercare staff work with each resident in preparing the right CCP for their needs.

Residents enjoy the accommodations and amenities you would expect from a world class retreat. Gone are the days of alcohol and drug rehab in a medical type of environment. Cirque’s facilities provide a comfortable and homelike environment for those seeking treatment for their addictions. A part of these luxury accommodations is a fine dining culinary program. Such accommodations and amenities simply enhance the overall experience.

Don’t let the nice things fool you however. At the heart of this facility is an intensive alcohol and drug rehab program. For some, it will be the most difficult thing they will ever have to endure. The treatment program is personalized to help individual on their own level, with the care and therapy they stand in need of.

During down time is when the luxury experience can help. Intensive therapies can cause stress. Withdrawals from addiction can bring unwanted anxieties. Comfortable accommodations and relaxing amenities can be a way to reduce the issues that are brought on through the initial recovery process. The culinary program helps to reintroduce a well balanced diet, and begin to reconstruct overall health and wellness of the individual.

Experiential activities provide a different approach to alcohol and drug rehab. At Cirque Lodge, our experiential program is unique and enjoyable part to the more intensive and traditional forms of addiction treatment. We use many venues and activities to teach recovery strategies and provide a spiritual awakening. At the Studio, the 17,000 ft soundstage houses an indoor ropes course and climbing facility. We use ropes activities in a number of ways. It provides challenges to the mindset and behaviors of addiction.

The ropes course consists of both high and low ropes elements. High ropes activities can be challenging to those who don’t like heights. These activities can teach the alcoholic/addict how to overcome their fears in life. Fear is oftentimes the mindset where the impulses of addiction thrive. Low rope elements provide both individual and team concepts. They teach lessons in communication and establishing trust. Every rope element helps to build support by accomplishing feats. The ropes course is just one of the many elements of our experiential program. These activities provide an effective and unique approach to an alcohol and drug rehab program.

When residents leave alcohol rehab at Cirque Lodge, they are not left alone. Our alumni are given some privileges to help throughout the recovery process. Staying sober can be difficult at times, for some, and these privileges provide a manner of relapse prevention for our alumni. They are only given to residents who have successfully completed the alcohol and drug rehab program.

The Guesting Privilege is a unique element to those who have gone through Cirque. This privilege allows residents to return to the alcohol rehab facility for up to 72 hours and participate in the treatment program. Sometimes it takes getting out of the situation to prevent relapse. Alumni can return to the Studio for a few days and get refocused on recovery. This privilege is only offered to those who have stayed sober. It is based upon room availability, and decision for guesting is left to the approval of our admissions and clinical team.

The Guesting Privilege is not just for those who are struggling in their sobriety. A number of Cirque Alumni have used the privilege to celebrate a milestone in their recovery. They return to the serenity of the mountains, spend time in recovery programs, and collect their sobriety chip. We strive to make Cirque Lodge a memorable and life changing experience. We want our alumni to realize this is always a safe haven away from the impulses of alcoholism and drinking problems.
