Low Ropes Event at Cirque Lodge

This week at Cirque Lodge is dedicated to working with families. Residents in alcohol and drug rehab are encouraged to invite their family members to participate. Wednesday mornings are set aside for work in our ropes course. Family members and their loved ones in rehab work through a number of different low ropes events. These events are more geared towards problem solving and teambuilding exercises. Our experiential team works with small groups through these recovery activities and provides proper help when needed.

Low ropes events present problems that require individuals to work together. When the task can not be accomplished normally, individuals can ask for help with the situation. There are a number of low ropes events. You would be amazed the lessons that are learned with a few boards, rope and blocks of wood. At the close of each activity, there is a sit down and discussion on the lessons that were learned. These elements can help family members in opening up lines of communication and trust to their loved one in alcohol and drug rehab.

Private and Exclusive Alcohol Treatment Facility

Cirque Lodge, Alcohol Rehab in Sundance UtahFor individuals who are suffering with a drinking problem and alcoholism, perhaps getting away from the situation is an effective step. Cirque Lodge invites those who are struggling with the bottle to come away to the mountains. The peace and serenity of the mountains can be a needed change from the chaos and stress of normal life. This chaos and stress can be a trigger to the drinking problem. Cirque Lodge is a private and exclusive alcohol treatment and drug rehab facility. We are committed to helping the alcoholic with the highest levels of care.

Caring staff members are available around the clock to meet residents’ needs. We feel our staff is one of the main reasons Cirque Lodge is a leading alcohol treatment facility. It is made up of a unique combination of clinical professionals, caring counselors, and individuals in successful recovery. It is a staff that is committed to helping the individual, as well as their family, with the highest levels of treatment, care and support. No matter the time of day, there is always a listening ear and professional counsel available.

A different approach we have to alcohol rehab is with the use of experiential therapies. We strive to provide the alcoholic with the experiences needed from long term and successful recovery. These experiences can invoke an internal change that replaces the influencing forces of seeking and abusing alcohol. Experiential programming also provides a hands on approach to addiction therapies. Residents aren’t just told how to find recovery; they experience it. We encourage the alcoholic who is struggling to make that call and discover the joy of a life free from alcoholism.

Alcohol Rehab Helping With Spirituality

Spiritual Experiences in Alcohol Rehab

Cirque Lodge uses the 12-step program in helping individuals address their problems with alcoholism. This programming is typically spiritually based, and we work with residents in alcohol rehab in reconnecting spiritually. This can be misconceived as religious rehab. At Cirque, we don’t focus on any religion foundation. We allow our residents in alcohol and drug rehab to make spiritual connections in whatever manner they need. We then make this the focus for that individual’s recovery process. We even use concepts of Native American spirituality and the power of nature to help those in alcohol rehab to make such connections.

Part of the 12-step concepts is to help individuals suffering with alcoholism in having spiritual experiences. Having such experiences does not happen overnight. It is a process as the individual makes steps towards recovery. In an alcohol rehab setting, we use a number of different activities and therapies to allow the alcoholic to obtain such experiences on their own. We surround residents with nature and the mountain. This setting is conducive to spiritual experiences and connecting to one’s higher power.

An Active Recovery Program

Mountain Biking in an Active Recovery ProgramCirque Lodge offers the very best in an alcohol and drug rehab experience. We are an active recovery program, which means some of treatment is focused on developing a physical recovery. Part of each treatment day is devoted to exercise and experiential work. Alcoholism and drug addiction can impact the physical well being of individuals. The emphasis on physical recovery goes hand in hand with programs for the mind and spirit.

Exercise facilities and wellness programs are available to residents who wish to improve upon their physical well being. The Lodge has its own private workout facilities, while Studio residents can get exercise in at a local Gold’s Gym. Cirque residents can also work with personal trainers at our facilities. These trainers provide a wellness program and circuit training workout. Yoga is also a part of alcohol and drug rehab here. Practicing yoga can greatly help in balancing mind, body and spirit.

Perhaps the most unique part of the Cirque Lodge experience is the use of experiential activities. These activities are effective in so many ways, and activities like hiking and mountain biking can help with physical recovery. When clients leave the Cirque Lodge facility, they can be changed in many ways. Usually they come to us in not very good condition. Alcohol and drug rehab helps them with recovery for their mind and spirit. An active treatment experience helps their body with a physical recovery from the damages that addiction has caused.

Personal Needs of Those in Drug Rehab

Meeting Personal Needs in Drug Rehab

We all come from different walks of life. What is good for one, many not work for all. In dealing with alcoholism or drug addiction, this is very true. Many individuals can find recovery through a specific type of treatment, but not all. Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge is a balance of many forms of treatment. We strive to find the best programs for each individual and emphasize these efforts to address them personally. This personalized effort is continually tailored during the residents’ treatment stay.

A rigorous assessment and information from a pre-intake assessment lay the groundwork for individualized alcohol and drug rehab. The information from the pre-intake assessment helps our clinical staff determine the severity of the addiction problem, as well as medical and psychiatric conditioning that may be present. The assessment process helps us to determine the type of individual who is being treated, their needs, as well as what they require from an addiction treatment stand point. This information is used in creating a treatment plan for that individual.

The program is also personalized in the form of therapies. Residents are appointed a primary counselor for their stay. Counselors are licensed addiction professionals. They are available each and every day for personalized one-on-one therapy sessions. They also track the progress of those in alcohol and drug rehab, and make adjustments to the personalized treatment efforts. Cirque Lodge is more than just addiction therapies. The balance of fun activity and enjoyable recovery efforts has helped us in becoming a leading addiction treatment program. This treatment is still, however, based upon the personal needs of the individual.

Autumn Colors Near Cirque Lodge

Here in Utah, September is the month when the leaves start to change. The greens (and sometimes browns) of a hot summer begin to give way to the orange yellow and red leaves of autumn. Watching this change can bring a peace. Individuals suffering with alcohol problems or a drug addiction can be in need of such a piece. A part of alcohol rehab and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge is to get out into nature and experience the quiet, calm and peace. These outings are used to teach recovery lessons, or just to give the recovering alcoholic/addict a chance to find a quiet spot and to meditate on their own.

September is also the month of the Cirque Lodge Annual Alumni Reunion. Those who have gone through the program are invited to return, partake in recovery activities, and remember their time here on the mountain. Many who have gone through alcohol rehab or drug rehab at Cirque Lodge have a fondness for these mountains. The reunion gives them a chance to return and experience it again. Each year we are pleased with the growing numbers of returning alumni. It helps us to refocus our efforts in providing the very best for those seeking alcohol and drug rehab.

Restoring the Hope and Joy with Recovery

There are certain feelings and emotions where the behaviors of addiction can thrive. Primarily it is fear, despair and hopelessness. When addicts come into an alcohol and drug rehab setting, their self esteem can be suffering. The Cirque Lodge program uses both effective treatments, and also enjoyable activities to eliminate the fear and restore hope with recovery skills. In recovery, one can again experience the joys of life, without the restrains of alcoholism, or the struggles of seeking out and abusing drugs.

At Cirque, this is done with an effectively balanced program. The individual receives the most modern forms of addiction therapies, while beginning the process of the 12-steps. These treatment efforts are put forward by a compassionate team of addiction professionals. Therapeutic, nature based, experiential activities are implemented into the recovery experience. These enhance alcohol drug rehab program by supporting the therapy element, while teaching needed skills for the recovery process.

Recovery from alcoholism or drug addiction is possible. It happens each and every day. People make the decision internally to leave behind the hopelessness and start a new life free from the bondage. Similarly, each and every day people lose their lives to their addictions. It is a sobering reality. Get your loved one the help they need. Alcohol and drug rehab can be influential in overcoming the fear, as well as restoring the hope needed for a lasting sobriety.

Cirque Lodge Chef Preparing a Meal

At Cirque Lodge, We provide residents nice accommodations and amenities for their treatment stay. One of these amenities is a delicious culinary experience. As a high end alcohol and drug rehab, we strive to make the dining reflect the highest levels of luxury. During a stay in rehab, residents are provided three well balanced meals each day. There are also snacks and drinks when needed. These meals are prepared by the Cirque chefs, and reflect that of gourmet dining.

Well balanced meals help the alcoholic/addict in receiving proper nutrients in their system. Some drugs can greatly suppress the appetite. Alcoholics can subsist for times on a “liquid” diet, where liquor is all that is consumed. These behaviors can leave the physical well being of the individual in sad shape. When they come to alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge, Physical recovery is provided with these well balanced meals and an active approach addiction treatment.

The culinary experience at Cirque Lodge is also sensitive to dietary needs of residents. Our chefs can prepare specific meals for specialty diets and concerns. Individuals can have varying dietary needs, like kosher or vegetarian. One in particular that is faced in alcohol and drug rehab are alcoholics who have type II diabetes. With proper notice, we can meet the needs of our residents’ dietary needs and help to improve their recovery experience here.

Mountain Places of Recovery

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

A Mountain Meadow filled with FlowersThe mountain is a place of recovery. For centuries, the Native Americans of the region have turned to the mountain and nature as a source of healing and spiritual enlightenment. For residents of the Cirque Lodge, the mountain can provide them the same healing and enlightenment. Alcoholism and drug addiction can be a struggle on so many fronts. The Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab program incorporates the mountain and nature to help residents in easing some of these struggles.

The program is more than just going for a trip on the mountain. A number of different activities and experiences are provided. These are used to teach strategies against the impulses of addiction, and also lessons on recovery. Cirque is very much a 12-step facility. A number of different activities are used to teach residents different 12-step concepts on recovery. A part of this process is making connections to ones higher power. The mountain and nature is a focal point in helping residents in establishing a connection to a power greater than their own.

The mountain is also a place of fun and enjoyment in sobriety. Addiction is all about fear, anger, and frustration. While in alcohol and drug rehab, the events on the mountain can begin to show some of the joys of living sober. In the summer months, residents can have a lot of fun rafting down the river, mountain biking, or going on a peaceful hike. In the winter, snow shoeing becomes a part of the activities. Cirque even has a private helicopter to take residents on nature flights to remote mountain peaks. When incorporated into the more intensive forms of rehabilitation and therapy, these mountain elements provide an effective and successful approach to preparing the alcoholic/addict with what they need for recovery.

Drug Treatment and Taking the First Step

Fall Colors at the Cirque Lodge

Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge is based on the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Individuals in drug treatment work on establishing the first few steps of recovery in their lives, while they are receiving treatment for their addictions.

For many, the first step is the most difficult. It requires them to admit they have an addiction and they no longer are in control. Defense mechanisms have been built up to protect the abusing of drugs. One of these is denial. The addict will go to great lengths to blame everything but their drug abuse for their problems. As the individual undergoes the treatment and therapy of drug rehab, they can begin see the realities of their addiction, and learn to accept it.

Cirque Lodge offers a caring and personalized program. When the addict in rehab is struggling to take the first towards recovery, a caring staff member is always available for help, support and therapy. Many of the Cirque Lodge staff are in recovery, and can help them in making that step. With this, the fears, pains and struggles of seeking and using drugs can be replaced with the joys of recovery. The caring staff at Cirque Lodge can help you or your loved one in making that step.
