Personalized Care for Those in Need of Alcohol Rehab

Monday, November 30th, 2009

There are a lot of internal things that can be problems to individuals struggling with alcoholism. These deeply rooted personal issues can present an obstacle that can only be overcome with endless bottles of hard liquor. Within an alcohol rehab setting, these personal issues need treated to help the individual find an internal change and make life altering decisions. At Cirque Lodge, this is done with a personalized attention to alcohol treatment.  Each individual is cared for according to their needs, and treatment and care is personalized with confidential therapy.

When an individual comes to us for alcohol rehab, a number of things are performed. We utilize a rigorous assessment and testing process to determine individual needs. We assign a licensed professional counselor and an individual case worker to provide care for the recovery process, as well as help with the 12-step program. Counselors provide one-on-one care and therapy according to each individual’s treatment plan.  Within these sessions, one can come to grips with these personal things, these obstacles that can only be satisfied by feeding the alcoholism. Over time, the individual can discover for themselves the things needed to leave this debilitating problem behind them.

Wintertime in the Serenity of the Mountains

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Wintertime in the serenity of the mountains, to the alcoholic/addict this can be a meaningful and life changing experience. Cirque Lodge is nestled in the mountains of Sundance. It overlooks a ski resort and is surrounded by the quiet hush of the falling snow. Time here on the mountain can provide release from the chaos of regular life, and most importantly, treatment and care for the struggles of addiction. Let us help you or your loved one in addressing the struggles of substance abuse in their life. An effective alcohol or drug rehab program can lay the foundation for leaving behind the struggles that come from this debilitating disease.

Wintertime in the serenity of the mountains provides more than just therapy and drug rehab programs. At Cirque, residents take part in experiential activities. These activities can have residents out on the mountain snow shoeing, or even enjoying the warmth and comfort of a support meeting around a bonfire. These elements carry with them messages of recovery and provide uplift to the struggling soul. Whether out on the mountain or within the warmth of the treatment facility, caring staff members are always available to help with concerns, provide support and needed therapy.

Wintertime in the serenity of the mountains can be more than just an alcohol or drug rehab stay.  It can be a foundation for recovery and a new found happiness.  It begins with a call to the Cirque Lodge. Let us help you or your loved one find joy and life and solution for alcoholism or drug addiction.

Making That Internal Change

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

At Cirque Lodge, we feel that recovery from alcoholism or drug addiction requires an internal change. This change creates a shift; the once ruling forces of the addiction are replaced with new concepts and values of sober living. Some may find this internal change easier than others. Some may have to work throughout the recovery process to find this shift. Those who come to us for alcohol or drug rehab are given many opportunities to experience this internal change for themselves.

Each individual is different, and different experiences provide either rewards or struggles. At Cirque, we use an experiential program with so many different venues for learning recovery and maybe creating that internal shift. We have activities that challenge the behaviors and mindsets of the addict/alcoholic. We also have nature based activities meant to create spiritual experiences and opportunities at an internal change. Many other residents of Cirque Lodge find an internal change in therapy with a counselor, or by beginning the steps of the recovery process.

Time in alcohol or drug rehab can be a valuable and life changing experience, but for most who want to find a lasting recovery, the internal change comes from continuing to work the program. After they leave Cirque, they immerse themselves in the recovery community. They find help and support from fellow alcoholics and addicts, and find that internal change through their relationship to a higher power. Time at Cirque Lodge can create this process. The efforts of the individual are what make it internal, meaningful and lasting.

Support Care and Love with Aftercare

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Aftercare programs consist of a lot of things. When residents at Cirque Lodge are prepared to leave alcohol and drug rehab, forms of aftercare can provide them with the strength and support needed to endure the recovery process. The individual must always understand they are never alone in their struggle and that there is always help available. At Cirque, residents are prepared a Continuing Care Plan that consists of additional treatments and supportive recovery elements. There are people out there willing to help individuals in staying sober. In turn, this helps strengthen their sobriety.

Sober living houses, a sober companion, AA Meetings, and even a sponsor can provide needed support in times of struggle. After alcohol or drug rehab is completed, active involvement in these elements can play a critical roll in long term and lasting sobriety. There are things in 12-step recovery like “90 meetings in 90 days” that require quite a commitment. However, through this recovery effort one can gain strength in support and find for themselves needed healing in continuing the process.

These support efforts also help in progressing through the steps of recovery.  Alcohol and drug rehab only lays the foundation of the 12-step program.  Most of the steps are covered with the help of a sponsor and through meetings. These entail the much more difficult steps for most individuals.  Endless support is again a part of all of this; in making amends to others and those life changing decisions. Overcoming the struggles of alcoholism and drug addiction is a process. However, from drug rehab and on through recovery, there is support, care and love available to help in times of need.

Alcohol and Drug Rehab Structure

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge provides structure to the recovering alcoholic/addict.  A problem that many with this malady face is that there are no boundaries set and no one to hold them responsible or accountable for their actions. At Cirque Lodge, we strive to help individuals recognize and establish these boundaries while still under the care of an alcohol or drug rehab facility.  Caring therapies are put into place to address underlying concerns and help residents in an individual basis in developing these boundaries.

Our caring staff also works with family members of residents on establishing these boundaries. Virtually all relationships where alcohol or drugs are abused can be diagnosed as codependent.  It is a relationship where the behaviors are enabling this abuse, and little or uneven boundaries are established. Recovery is an equal process, where one is never greater than the other. A part of Family Week is to better educate family members on these behaviors, how they can avoid enabling and codependent relationships, and begin a healthy process of recovery.

This structure can also help those in alcohol or drug rehab in starting over again. This recovery process requires great personal changes. All the ways that were once the solutions for problems, abusing addictive substances, were probably the problem. New and productive means of dealing with these situations must be found. Some individuals must learn how to control new found emotions that were for years suppressed by the abuse of numbing substances. A structured approach to recovery gives individuals daily goals and constructive ways to address problems as they work at sobriety.

Begin Your Recovery Story

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

When you talk to individuals in recovery, they can tell you their story; from the times at the bottom to the joys of sobriety.  Not every recovery story is an easy one, and a lot of times they are not witSharing a Recovery Storyhout falls. However, the joys of a successful recovery far outweigh the struggles, chaos and fears of a life of addiction, seeking and using.  For many, their recovery story begins in drug rehab.  Someone gets them the help they could not get for themselves.

Sharing a recovery story gives strength in ways you can not imagine.  The originators of Alcoholics Anonymous found this in developing their 12-step program.  By sharing their recovery stories with others it in turn strengthened both parties. The struggling alcoholic could see similarities in their life and the fellow in recovery. Cirque Lodge is very much a 12-step program and introduces these concepts while the alcoholic/addict receives treatment in rehab.

If you or someone you love is struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction, we encourage calling the Cirque Lodge today.  Begin your recovery story and find the joys that come from clean and productive living.

A Safe Haven for Alcohol Rehab

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Shared Accommodations at the LodgeSometimes the alcoholic’s biggest enemy is themselves. Their mindset and behavior have made it almost impossible to get through the day with a steady dose of drinking. Meanwhile, life spirals out of control. Cirque Lodge provides a safe haven away from the struggles of alcoholism. Alcohol rehab or drug rehab is provided in a private and exclusive facility. Residents undertake a highly effective recovery program, while developing the skills needed to stay sober after rehab is completed.

We have gone to great lengths to make our facilities very nice; in accommodations, amenities and even in the food. Equal to this is the commitment and care of our staff. Recovery is very much a field of attraction. The individual has got to want these things in their life to take hold. If they come into alcohol rehab and the bed is uncomfortable or the food is not good, this can be something they focus on instead of real recovery. With nice facilities and things, we take this away. The individual can forget everything except the matter at hand, getting well again.

Our facilities also provide a private and safe place away from the influences of addiction. Triggers, things that enable, unwanted outside influences, these things are done away with for us to provide a caring and effective program. Earlier, I said the alcoholic’s biggest enemy is themselves. Within this facility the alcoholic is surrounded by caring support, from staff members, licensed counseling professionals and fellow individuals striving for recovery. We strive to make each day a new opportunity for a life changing experience and alcohol rehab as a foundation for a lasting and successful recovery.

Enduring in the Recovery Process

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Help and Support for the Recovery ProcessRecovery is such a process. The alcoholic/drug addict must develop a whole new way of living and come up with new coping mechanisms. The old coping mechanisms always resorted to using or the bottle. A part of this process relies heavily upon the help and support of others and learning new skills and ways to cope. This begins in alcohol or drug rehab for many, and then extends after rehab with the support of additional counseling and a support group. The joys of recovery help in providing a foundation for continuing forward.

Residents of Cirque Lodge are provided things to help them with the recovery process. Central to all of this is the Continuing Care Plan. Prior to leaving the facility, residents work with aftercare in developing a plan for their recovery process. Within this plan are additional forms of care, support and help. These are measures to maintain sober living and relapse prevention. There is always help available. This help can be a needed support in those times when recovery is a struggle. The advantage to this help is that most have been through this process and can relate and empathize.

Drug rehab is only the beginning to developing the skills needed for recovery. Many of these lessons are learned and developed by enduring the entire process. What the alcoholic/addict must always realize is that there is help and support available. These things can be a vital influence against relapse.

Challenging Experiential Activities

Challenging Experiential Activities

Alcohol and drug rehab provides different and unique activities here. Cirque has a giant indoor ropes course designated for working with residents. But not all elements of the ropes course involve high wire walking and challenging climbing events. Some of these events challenge in a different way, the cognitive mental process. A number of different activities are referred to as “low ropes”. Low ropes events require problem solving skills and working as a team to overcome challenges. Such elements can help in building support, and provide individuals a different way of thinking about a difficult situation (One that does not involve drugs or alcohol).

Our experiential team is always coming up with new ways to challenge residents with these problem solving exercises. Residents come up with new and different ways to accomplish the challenge at hand. One time the residents used all the shoelaces from their shoes to faction a rope to accomplish the task. This can be a fun and therapeutic experience as the residents work together to attack and overcome their challenge.

When all is said and done, each low ropes activity begins or ends with a discussion. Residents can discuss what they learned from the exercise, and not everyone has the same emotions or experience with the activity. Residents learn from each other as they support one another. The Cirque Lodge uses many different types of recovery programming. Some of it is intensive therapies, and parts of it are exercises like the ropes course. We strive to give each resident so many different opportunities to learn, grow, and have that needed internally changing experience.
