Personalized Addiction Treatment Program

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Treating alcoholism or drug addiction can be less effective with a generalized program.  Individuals can have specific needs when it comes to care. Some individuals can be dealing with traumatic experiences or suffering from grief, this is in addition to chemical dependency. Cirque Lodge looks to meet the needs of the individual with a personalized addiction treatment program.  This personalized treatment begins in admissions and is carried through a continuing care plan after the client leaves the facility.

At the core of all this is a focus on the individual. Those with cocaine addictions have different needs than those struggling with alcoholism. A business professional may require different levels of care than a college student. The Cirque Lodge approach is to thoroughly assess each individual when they are admitted into the addiction treatment program. This assessment is tailored into a treatment plan to address individual needs with the proper forms of alcohol and drug rehab therapies. This treatment plan is not set in stone. It is continually adjusted and tailored to meet the needs of the individual.

Therapy is also personalized for the client. One-on-one therapy sessions are provided throughout treatment. This is the environment for dealing with traumatic experiences and grief. Caring counselors are assigned to each client when they are admitted. They oversee the treatment plan, they provide the personal therapy, and they understand the client’s needs.  Cirque Lodge is committed to the highest levels of clinical care in an addiction treatment program. This is found through a personalized approach and the specific care of individuals.

Experiential Elements at Cirque Lodge

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

A number of different experiential elements are used as recovery tools at Cirque Lodge. In alcohol and drug rehab here in the mountains residents are not just told how to overcome their addictions and find recovery (though this is well covered); they experience it on a first hand basis. A lot of this is done through experiential activities. We get clients out of the group room and onto the mountains. They go on a hike, go biking, raft the river, and this time of year snow shoeing. With all these activities are lessons for recovery and chances for internal changes.

The most unique outdoor activity used in experiential therapy is the Cirque Lodge helicopter. Residents who are working their 3rd step of recovery have the opportunity to go on a private helicopter flight. Residents take to the air and get to witness this beautiful landscape from this vantage point. In the middle of this tour, the helicopter lands in a remote spot in the mountains.  Residents are given this time to do some hiking, or just to find a quiet spot for some soul searching. It is amazing for those working their 3rd step (Turning over one’s will and problems to a higher power) to have this communion with nature.

Experiential activities are an influential piece to vital spiritual experiences. Such an experience can be the influencing factor in lasting sobriety. These experiences can come in so many ways. It isn’t always of experiential work; it can come from working closely with a counselor, or in an AA meeting. As a treatment facility, we want to afford our residents every opportunity to have such an experience while in treatment. This can be a foundation for continuing to work the recovery process after alcohol or drug rehabilitation is completed.

Alcohol Rehab Begins with a Call

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

One of the best ways to find out about alcohol rehab at Cirque Lodge is by calling our admissions staff. Our admissions team is very knowledgeable and helpful. They can help you or your loved one in making the necessary preparations for entering our rehabilitation program. They can answer any questions you might have, and can also help with information on intervention and detoxification services. Our admissions team is made up of alumni of our program. Cirque Lodge can help you the way it helped them find recovery.

A call to admissions also can provide needed support in making an alcohol rehab decision. It is understandable that this process is not easy. The control that alcoholism has on the central nervous system can make it feel impossible. Our admission staff can help you. They have been in a similar situation at some point in their life. If Cirque Lodge is not the right facility for you or your loved one, admissions can help you with information on other recovery options. When it is time to bring an end to alcohol problem, make that call to Cirque Lodge. Our admissions office is looking forward to helping you in any way they can.

Physical Recovery from Addiction

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Physical recovery from alcoholism or drug addiction is found at Cirque Lodge. We strive to provide a circular recovery of body, mind and spirit. Recovery for the body is found with an active alcohol and drug rehab program. This is found through exercise programs and also experiential work. Nutrition is also provided through delicious foods from our kitchen staff. Years of alcoholism and drug abuse can leave the physical well being of an individual in a dilapidated state. Time in drug rehab can help in reversing some of these affects.

One thing that we stress when individuals enter our program is that individuals are physically capable of participating in all elements of treatment. Experiential programming is an active approach to recovery. It also provides physical fitness and exercise. Elements of exercise are used to help in improving health wellness as well. Both locations provide exercise facilities for residents, and even introduction to yoga as a recovery tool. Those in recovery can use exercise as a coping strategy after they leave addiction treatment as well. It can take the place of the highs of addiction with rewards produced by the body naturally.

Residents are also provided three well balanced meals each day, and also healthy drinks and snacks. In the throws of alcoholism or drug addiction, a person can deny themselves needed nutrients from foods. Our kitchen chefs prepare delicious foods for residents that are well balanced with the needed nutrients for physical recovery. They can accommodate specific dietary needs as well. These elements help to provide individuals with healthy answers for a new sober lifestyle.

Drug Rehab is an Experience

Monday, January 11th, 2010

At the Cirque, addiction treatment, drug rehab, alcoholism care, it is all often referred to as an experience. It begins with the facilities themselves. Residents are comfortable. They have fine accommodations and are treated to amenities that rival world class venues. The food is delicious and prepared daily to meet individual needs. When the alcoholic/addict comes to treatment, they can be struggling with so many things. One of these struggles can be the fact they are in rehab in the first place. The nice things enhance the drug rehab program and add to the overall experience here.

Treating addiction is at the core of our fine facilities. As nice as everything is here, alcohol and drug rehab is still intensive. The experience of treatment is enhanced through a personalized program meant to meet resident needs. This is carried out by a committed staff willing to go the extra mile to help clients with their recovery process. We have a commitment to care here that extends beyond the moniker of “rehab.”  The program is intended to change ones life around, and provide the care needed for dealing with the struggles that are involved in this.

Experiential activities are at the heart of the drug rehab experience here. We feel that overcoming addiction comes in so many more ways then sitting in a group room all day. Clients get out onto the mountain; they work with horses, and can even go flying out in our private helicopter. At the heart of all of these engaging activities are recovery and learning lessons on the 12-step program. With all these elements combined it is easy to see why recovery through Cirque Lodge is an experience. We encourage you to turn your life around today and begin your own recovery experience. Call Cirque Lodge today.

Starting Recovery in Detox

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Usually to begin alcohol or drug rehab, an individual must go through a period of detoxification. This is a process of flushing the body from the toxins of these substances, and stabilizing the individual as they experience withdrawal. Sometimes, before entering an addiction treatment program, the individual will load up on their substance of choice. Detox helps to rid the body of these things and prepare the individual for time in alcohol or drug rehab. The length of stay varies on the severity of addiction and the amount of time it takes to safely stabilize the individual. This can be a day or two. It can also be longer. Cases of heroin addiction, alcoholism and some prescription drugs have required a lengthier detox.

Treating for withdrawal is a critical part of the detoxification process. People who have developed a chemical dependence to alcohol or drugs can suffer from adverse reactions when they no longer are in the system. Withdrawal symptoms can be minor illness effects. They also can be far more severe and life threatening. During the detoxification process, the alcoholic/addict is monitored and treated with medications to stabilize and address withdrawal symptoms. Once the individual is stabilized, they should immediately enroll into a treatment program for their addictions.

Cirque Lodge is not a detox facility. Our focus is to provide the very best in alcohol and drug rehab services.  We are partnered with a local detoxification facility. A call to us can provide you with the needed information. Cirque is happy to provide transportation to and from this detox facility, and also transport to our Lodge or Studio facility. Detox begins the recovery process and is the start of most addiction treatment programs.

Assessment to Begin Drug Rehab

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Upon admission into Cirque Lodge, our clinical staff takes the new resident through a large battery of tests and assessments. These elements help in many phases to determine the individual’s needs. Each person has different personality and background. They also have different problems and substance abuse histories. This assessment to begin alcohol or drug rehab helps our clinical staff best determine the course of action on ways to treat that individual.

These tests are used in creating an individualized treatment plan for the resident. It helps from a clinical side to be sensitive to individual needs, but also effective in providing the right forms of treatment and therapy for the addiction. Cirque is a dual diagnosis facility, meaning we treat individuals for co-occurring mood disorders and psychiatric conditions as a part of addiction treatment. The assessment and treatment plan take into account these elements in providing a better treatment experience and meeting resident needs.

Ropes and Climbing Course in Rehab

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Inside the Cirque Lodge Studio is a 17,000 foot soundstage. This massive room houses our ropes and climbing course. Two large tripods are erected several stories high and are connected with a series of climbing events and challenges. For the residents in alcohol and drug rehab, these activities are used to challenge and to teach cognitive lessons. These climbing events challenge the individual to get out of their comfort and overcome fears. These unique drug rehab activities are a part of our experiential program, which is a powerful piece to Cirque Lodge’s effectiveness.

There are a number of high rope elements and challenges. Some are individual feats and others require team work and support to accomplish. Cognitive elements are also utilized in high ropes challenges. Different areas of the ropes course are used to spark different thoughts towards recovery. The ropes course is not entirely a challenge. Some elements are also exciting and rewarding. There is a zip line that descends to the floor of the soundstage. There is also a giant swing that pendulums those in drug rehab the entire span of the room.

The ropes course is a part of our experiential program. The balance of effective addiction therapies and experiential work has provided a highly effective approach for those struggling with addictions. Each day a different experiential outing is a part of treatment. The ropes course, equine therapy, the mountain and even a private helicopter are all used in alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge. These elements can show individuals the joys recovery and be influential pieces to personal change. The ropes course offers many unique challenges and opportunities for internal reflection.

Privacy at the Cirque Lodge

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Individuals in need of alcohol rehab or drug rehab can find a comfortable and private place at the Cirque Lodge.  One of the traditions of the 12-step program is anonymity. The Cirque Lodge provides a very private and confidential treatment experience. Individuals are cared for on a one-on-one level and the program is designed to allow residents to keep their anonymity within the treatment program.

Part of privacy is location. Both Lodge and Studio facilities are privately located and relatively free from outside influences. The Lodge is nestled away in the mountains of Sundance.  The Studio is situated on 12 fenced acres, and is also gated for limited access. This type of safe haven provides more than high levels of privacy. It provides an atmosphere that is conducive to recovery and free from the chaos of the outside world.

For those who need them, private accommodations are available upon request. The majority of accommodations are shared. This can be a positive for the recovery process, as roommates can support each other through the alcohol or drug rehab experience. Some individuals however, can require higher levels of privacy.  Both locations of Cirque Lodge offer a private accommodation for individuals in need of such levels of privacy. Cirque Lodge offers privacy and a highly effective treatment experience for those who wish to overcome their struggles with drugs of alcoholism.
