Experiential Balance to Alcohol and Drug Rehab

Friday, July 30th, 2010

One of the unique aspects to the alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge is the balance between the clinical treatment and the experiential program. This balance provides proper rehabilitation and recovery for body, mind and spirit and the experiential aspect plays a large part in this. Time is scheduled each day for an experiential activity. A number of different indoor and outdoor activities and challenges are utilized for alcohol and drug recovery.

Experiential programming provides a number of things for the alcoholic/addict. It brings a lot of physical exercise, a mental challenge, and meaningful lessons on spiritual enlightenment. Some aspects are intended to get those mental processes working in a manner that is different than the process of seeking and using drugs or alcohol. Still other experiential excursions are used to connect to a higher power and to find spiritual understanding.

The experiences are what can have a deep and meaningful impact on the individual. At Cirque Lodge, we strive to provide the individual with life changing, once in a lifetime experiences on the mountain. That is why we utilize a helicopter, horses, nature activities, and a giant indoor ropes course in providing such an experience. With these once in a lifetime activities come needed lessons on recovery and individual accountability.

Drug Rehab for Co-occurring Struggles

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Cirque Lodge offers dual diagnosis treatment for those suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction. In treating cases of chemical dependency, the addiction isn’t always the lone struggle or problem. Many individuals are dealing with other clinical and psychiatric issues. At Cirque Lodge, a treatment plan is developed to address both concerns. This plan is properly diagnosed by our staff psychiatric professional and our clinical team.

Mood disorders and addiction go hand-in-hand in many cases. The disorder can prime the brain for the influences of drugs or alcohol. Many individuals who suffer from psychiatric conditions will turn to these substances to self-medicate away the problem. In the long term, this can lead to a chemical dependence and a compounding of the problem.

Cirque Lodge utilizes an effective personalized alcohol or drug rehab program. This program is focused on the proper means of care for the individual. Those who are struggling with co-occurring problems benefit from a treatment plan that is sensitive to the needs of both conditions. A well balanced and multi-disciplinary program is used to address all needs of the individual. As a dual diagnostic addiction treatment center, programs can also be developed for the individual who is unaware of such conditions as well.

Aspects of the Cirque Family Week

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Every third week into the treatment cycle at Cirque Lodge is set aside for working with the family. The residents of the Lodge and Studio facilities are encouraged to involve their families and loved ones in this programming. The family plays such a volatile role in the recovery process of their loved one. Family programming helps to educate and prepare the family for taking on this role.

Family Week consists of many aspects of the alcohol and drug rehab facility at Cirque Lodge. Family members can greatly benefit from the effective workshops and therapies that are offered. The family also has the chance to participate in aspects of the experiential program and challenges. Family members can also take in the delicious culinary experience provided by the Cirque chefs as well. All of this is provided within the beautiful surround of our mountain locations. It gives our visitors the opportunities to experience the unique and fine things offered to their loved ones in drug rehab.

Family Week also provides individuals with a chance to communicate. Family members can have a number of misconceptions and many negatives can be present. Special groups and therapy sessions are provided to help the family with communication. Cirque Lodge licensed and professional counselors conduct these sessions. It is ideal for addressing underlying family issues and to tear down the barriers that were built up by the behaviors of addiction. The family piece is an effective aspect to the alcohol or drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge. Our focus is to provide the individual and their family with all is needed for long term recovery.

Drug Rehab Treatment for Pain Relievers

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Cirque Lodge offers a caring treatment program and drug rehab for those struggling with pain relievers. When used appropriately, these medications can be a great benefit in managing and reducing pain. Sadly, these medications also bring with them an increased risk. Many have developed an addiction to these drugs and a tendency to abuse them. A stay within our mountain drug rehab facility can help to address these concerns and provide proper rehabilitation.

Admissions into drug rehab treatment for prescription pain relievers have greatly increased in the last decade. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has released its “Teds” Report on pain relievers. This report analyzes the demographics of those who have admitted into treatment for this particular drug. The increase in 2008 is over four times what it was in 1998. The report stated that pain relievers are now second most prevalent drug of abuse in the United States next to marijuana.

Cirque Lodge offers a caring facility to those seeking treatment for pain reliever addiction. It begins with a personalized program, which is provided by a professional and caring staff. Coupled into this treatment are the unique and effective experiential program, drug addiction therapies, and a family based treatment. The intent is to put the pain reliever addiction into remission and to arm the individual with the skills and knowledge they need to keep it there. This form of addiction is growing at an alarming rate. However, to combat this, there is treatment available and Cirque Lodge is considered one of the very best in a private and exclusive facility.

The Cirque Gardens and Recovery

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

The beautiful rose garden is one of the two gardens at our Studio Facility. In the middle of the rose garden is a cast-iron gazebo with benches and chairs. Those in drug rehab can use this venue for some private reading or meditation. Some use it as a quiet place for counseling or to talk with fellow residents. It can be a quiet place for working those steps of recovery.

The second garden at the Studio is an actual, organic garden. These vegetables are raised over the summer months by the residents. Working in the garden is a part of the experiential piece to Cirque Lodge and can be quite the enjoyable way to spend time. Some residents even use a bit of their free time to tend to the garden.

These venues can seem simple enough, but to the recovering alcoholic/addict they can represent so much more. The can be a means to a new way of life. Working in the garden or finding a quiet place for reading can replace some of the behaviors and activities that were more conducive to seeking, drinking and using. There’s a lot that goes into the drug rehab experience at Cirque Lodge. The gardens at the Studio are a place where meaningful and life changing experiences can happen for residents.

Private Treatment and Facilities in Drug Rehab

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Privacy is something taken quite seriously at Cirque Lodge. To maintain the highest levels of privacy in alcohol and drug rehab, each resident is treated with a personal, confidential and professional approach. Our professional staff is continually educated and trained on resident privacy and the ethics involved in providing private and exclusive drug rehab. Residents maintain their anonymity as they would in most recovery programs.

The locations of the Cirque Lodge addiction treatment facilities also reflect these high levels of resident privacy. The Lodge is located on a private drive in the secluded mountains. The Studio facility is located on 12 private acres and is gated. These facilities are free from outside influences and a confidentiality protocol is followed in contacting clients. All transportation between these facilities is provided by unmarked vehicles. Some residents can require the very highest levels of privacy. This is found through a private room and accommodations at one of our facilities. These drug rehab accommodations can be scheduled prior to admission.

Privacy and discretion is also found within therapy and treatment. There can be struggles and personal issues that the alcoholic/addict can be dealing with. Some individuals may not feel too comfortable about sharing these struggles in group. Personal therapy sessions with a licensed clinician are scheduled for clients throughout their treatment stay. This personal, one-on-one environment can be used to address the underlying concerns and internal struggles that can have a hand in addiction. At the Cirque, we are committed to resident confidentiality, and personalized treatment is just one of the ways to provide this.

Multi-Disciplinary Drug Rehab Program

Monday, July 19th, 2010

Cirque Lodge residents are treated for alcoholism and drug addiction on many different levels. This is done by a multi-disciplinary approach. Residents work with clinical professionals, a primary counselor, staff to help with the 12-step effort, and our experiential team. These same professionals come together in creating the treatment plan for the individual and providing the many different elements that go into alcohol or drug rehab here in the mountains.  This multifaceted approach can provide the individual the many levels of care needed to address their addiction.

During a treatment stay, the drug rehab program is ever changing according to resident’s needs. Perhaps the individual makes significant progress during their stay, or the resident can require a more intensive and slower approach. Members of our multi-disciplinary team work with individual and make these needed changes to the treatment plan. The Cirque Lodge staff is one that meets together frequently to discuss residents and also how to help each individual. Treatment plans are continually monitored and adjusted to provide the individual the proper care for their vulnerabilities.

The multi-disciplinary drug rehab program also provides the individual with many different styles of care and recovery programming. At Cirque Lodge, this is done through traditional, clinical and unique approaches to the recovery process. The 12-step program is used as a foundation for much of treatment. This is combined with intensive personalized therapies and the effective recovery piece found in experiential programming. A personalized approach to treatment from many different disciplines can provide the individual with the focus and skills needed to maintain a long term sobriety.

Drug Rehab in the Serenity of the Mountains

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Cirque Lodge derives its name from a geological formation. The beautiful and majestic Cascade Cirque is one of the many natural wonders and healing places available to those seeking treatment for drug addiction or alcoholism. Drug rehab in the serenity of the mountains provides a number of venues for recovery and healing. The experiences of nature can be vital in making spiritual changes and connecting to a higher power.

Cirque Lodge residents are not just treated to beautiful views of these serene places; they are immersed them. With the guidance of our experiential program, these mountain activities can be foundations for working the steps to sobriety and self discovery. These activities are of course balanced into a highly effective clinical program to address the disease of addiction with advanced treatments and therapies.

Addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge is founded on the 12-step program.  The serenity of the mountains provides an ideal environment for beginning these steps. The initial steps of the 12 focus on making connections and turning one’s will over to higher power. In these high mountain places it can be easy to make such a connection. Some even find their higher power within nature and even the mountain itself. At the Cirque, these connections are created through a number of fun and engaging ways. Whether it is with a hike, on a mountain bike, or even within a cockpit of a private luxury helicopter, drug rehab clients can find recovery through what we like to call “the power of the mountain.”

Exercise and Activities for Physical Recovery

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Cirque Lodge residents participate in an active alcohol or drug rehab program. Activity provides plenty of physical exercise for those seeking recovery. The program is tailored according to the individual’s fitness level. Over time in treatment, the body can greatly improve as it recovers from addiction. Different experiential activities and exercise elements are used for their positives within a recovery effort.

The alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge offers free time for residents. During this free time, residents can choose to exercise. The Lodge has its own private gym. Studio residents attend a local Gold’s gym, and can also work through circuit training workouts with our personal trainer. Exercise is very much a positive as a recovery tool. It provides an activity that produces endorphins naturally. The positives of exercise can also be utilized as a replacement for the impulses to drinking or using for some.

Activity is also provided through Cirque’s experiential program. As a part of alcohol and drug rehab, experiential activities provide many a highly effective venues for body, mind and spirit. To help with physical recovery, experiential activities can involve going on hikes, biking, rock climbing and even some snow shoeing in the wintertime. Years of alcoholism or drug abuse can leave the physical well being of an individual in bad shape. As a part of alcohol and drug rehab at the Cirque, programs are put in place for physical recovery. This is just a small part to a fully involved and very effective balance to alcoholism or drug addiction treatment.

Recovery Plan after Rehab

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Recovery from alcoholism or drug addiction can take time. After rehab is completed, the impulses to drink or to use are still ever present. It is how the recovering alcoholic/addict utilizes the things they developed in drug rehab that can help them obtain a long term and successful sobriety. The initial months after rehab is completed can be the most critical. The alcoholic/addict must always know they are never alone in their struggles. There are always people to help them. At Cirque Lodge, a plan of action is coordinated and provided to those who have graduated treatment.

There are many recovery elements available to those who have completed rehab and are working towards long term sobriety goals. A Continue Care Plan is created for the graduate of the Cirque Lodge program. This recovery plan consists of additional treatment and care programs available to the client. These efforts are coordinated prior to the resident leaving treatment and are based upon the programs available within the client’s home community. Some recovering individuals benefit from a transition period within a sober living environment, or working through an intensive outpatient program. These things are also coordinated and available after the individual is discharged from the Cirque.

Even with successful treatment and surrounding the individual with recovery programs, relapse is very much a reality. Cirque Lodge residents are granted a Guesting Privilege for dealing with relapse. Before taking that first drug or drink, the client can return to the facility and refocus on the recovery effort. This is a lifetime privilege for those who have remained sober. It is free of charge and offers additional programming and care as a form of relapse prevention. Recovery requires a plan. Residents of the Cirque benefit from an effective recovery plan and privileges that assist throughout the recovery process.
