Thursday, September 30th, 2010
Cirque Lodge is considered a leader in the addiction treatment field. It wouldn’t be this way without the level of commitment and care of our staff. Cirque residents are surrounded by a caring treatment team of licensed professionals, as well as a frontline staff dedicated to meeting resident needs. People who come to alcohol or drug rehab can be in a difficult struggle; their minds and emotions can be in disarray. Some are suffering and dealing with heavy burdens. When they first walk through the doors of the Cirque Lodge or Studio facility, they are greeted by members of staff who will work with them through the process.
Cirque Lodge counselors can be an influential piece to those dealing with addiction. Upon admission the client is assigned a counselor who works with the individual throughout their addiction treatment stay. Cirque’s counselors are unique in their own way. They have dedicated their lives to the care and healing of those struggling with alcoholism or addiction. Counselors work one-on-one with residents, through caring therapy sessions and also within a group format. With all the struggles and troubles that overcoming addiction can present, counseling sessions and therapies provide an environment for addressing underlying and personal issues.
A large number of Cirque Lodge staff is in recovery. Some Cirque staff is even alumni of this alcohol/drug rehab facility. These members of staff can provide a much needed level of empathy, because they have been their too. They have experience in working the steps of recovery and finding a means to lasting sobriety. Proper support is needed throughout to keep the strength, focus and momentum of recovery going. At the Cirque, this begins with programs to properly arrest the disease. This is coupled with the care and support of a staff willing to exceed expectations when it comes to assisting with the recovery process. This is not an easy process, but at the Cirque, there is a surrounding of care from a dedicated and experienced staff.

Alcoholism and drug addiction can be a result of other mental health issues. These substances can be used to self-medicate away the problems that can be brought on by psychiatric disorders. Those dealing with mental health issues are much more likely to develop a chemical dependence to addictive substances. Many who come to rehab are diagnosed as having a co-occurring problem along with chemical dependence. Cirque Lodge offers dual diagnosis treatment for clients. An individualized program is provided to arrest the disease of addiction. This approach is also coupled with programming to help with co-occurring mood disorders.
Alcoholism and drug addiction can be a deeply rooted internal struggle. They can affect physical well-being, emotional stability and spiritual wellness. The balanced drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge provides aspects of treatment and recovery for the body, the mind and also the human spirit. It is a program that begins with the internal needs of the individual. The program is tailored with care that addresses their personal vulnerabilities. The despair and hopelessness that stem from substance abuse are replaced with new concepts of recovery and the joys of life.
At the Cirque Lodge, this time of year is really beautiful. It seems that overnight the leaves have changed from green to an array of bright reds, oranges and yellows. Those in drug rehab at the Cirque have many opportunities to get out into this surround to discover their higher power. Addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge is a balance of programs for body, mind and spirit. The outdoor mountain piece is used to help in rebuilding the human spirit that has been damaged through years of substance abuse and its behaviors. The majestic and serene places of the mountains are used as places of spiritual rebuilding and the autumn backdrop provides a breathtaking venue.
Alcohol rehab can be a life saving measure. Alcoholism is a constant problem in society and literally millions of people can be diagnosed as having a drinking problem. Sadly, very few people seek help for this issue and struggle with drinking and alcoholism the remainder of their lives. A stigma develops in the brain that doesn’t view the drinking as a problem. Meanwhile, the individual can begin to lose control over aspects of their life to the pursuit of alcohol. It doesn’t have to be this way. Alcoholism and alcohol abuse can be overcome through the care of an addiction treatment program and the efforts of recovery.
At Cirque Lodge, we have seen an ever growing number of cases for individuals who are struggling with chemical dependency to prescription pills. There are a wide variety of prescription medications that can be habit forming and addictive. Usually the culprits are the painkillers that are talked about on the news; things like Percocet, Vicodin and OxyContin. But these are not the only habit forming pills. Many medications intended to treat people have also shown to be rather addictive. A growing number of individuals are also developing dependencies to sleep aids and medications intended to treat stress and anxiety.
Cirque Lodge offers those struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction with a quiet and private place to get well again. The problems of substance abuse and chemical dependency are treated through a very thorough and balanced program. The facilities provide clients with the finest in accommodations and amenities to enhance their experience. These locations provide an unmatched privacy for those in need of a confidential and caring alcohol or drug rehab facility.
To many who have come to the mountains for addition treatment, Cirque Lodge is more than drug rehab. It is a life changing experience. The Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab program is based upon an effective and multi-disciplinary balance of treatment and therapy. This is combined with one of the finest outdoor experiential pieces found in the recovery industry. The Cirque Lodge Studio has a massive 17,000 sq. ft. soundstage. This room has been used in the past for different movies and television programs. As a part of a drug rehab facility, this stage houses the world’s largest indoor ropes and climbing facility. This ropes course is used as a part of Cirque Lodge’s experiential programming. Experiential activities are used to teach recovery lessons and to arm the alcoholic/addict with the tools needed to maintain sobriety. The ropes course consists of a number of high and low elements of alcohol and drug rehab learning activities.
Recovery is a process for those struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction. It is not uncommon for relapse to happen. At Cirque Lodge, things are put into place for our alumni. These things can be a means of relapse prevention and furthering the skills and tools of the recovery process. It all begins with a Continuing Care Plan for clients prior to discharge. The continuing plan provides outpatient programs, sober living options and coordinated efforts of additional therapy and 12-step help. Counselors at the Cirque also follow up with former clients to see how they are coming along with their recovery.
