Additional Treatment with Extended Care
Most alcohol and drug rehab programs consist of a 3-5 week program. For a lot of people dealing with alcohol or drug addiction, this length of time isn’t nearly enough. It can be a struggle if they aren’t fully prepared for recovery. The longer a person stays sober, the greater the chance they have of maintaining that sobriety. At Cirque Lodge, a personalized approach to addiction treatment helps us to determine if a person is ready to leave. When that time comes, a professionally licensed primary counselor can make recommendations on whether additional time is needed.
Extended care in the Cirque Lodge program occurs at our Studio facility. We take a proactive approach to providing additional treatment. Instead of rehashing over the 30-day program, extended care drug rehab works the additional steps of the 12-step program. Drug rehab clients begin their work on the 4th and 5th step, considered the most difficult steps by many. Incorporated into working these steps are outside support groups, and an addiction sponsor. Through this, the client is introduced to programs that are influential to recovery. Another day sober is another day the influences of addiction begin to lessen. Time spent in extended care gives a safe environment for this type of sobriety to occur.
