Alcohol and Drug Rehab Structure

Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge provides structure to the recovering alcoholic/addict.  A problem that many with this malady face is that there are no boundaries set and no one to hold them responsible or accountable for their actions. At Cirque Lodge, we strive to help individuals recognize and establish these boundaries while still under the care of an alcohol or drug rehab facility.  Caring therapies are put into place to address underlying concerns and help residents in an individual basis in developing these boundaries.

Our caring staff also works with family members of residents on establishing these boundaries. Virtually all relationships where alcohol or drugs are abused can be diagnosed as codependent.  It is a relationship where the behaviors are enabling this abuse, and little or uneven boundaries are established. Recovery is an equal process, where one is never greater than the other. A part of Family Week is to better educate family members on these behaviors, how they can avoid enabling and codependent relationships, and begin a healthy process of recovery.

This structure can also help those in alcohol or drug rehab in starting over again. This recovery process requires great personal changes. All the ways that were once the solutions for problems, abusing addictive substances, were probably the problem. New and productive means of dealing with these situations must be found. Some individuals must learn how to control new found emotions that were for years suppressed by the abuse of numbing substances. A structured approach to recovery gives individuals daily goals and constructive ways to address problems as they work at sobriety.
