It gives the family a chance to see their loved one in alcohol treatment and to learn things needed for the recovery process. Alcoholism is a family problem. Living this way enables the alcoholic to drink. Part of family week is to better educate family members on the nature and behavior of addiction. They learn about codependency and ways to avoid the behaviors that enable. Special sessions are also provides to help the family with communication and with honest feelings.

Family Week also gives the loved ones of our residents a chance to experience the Cirque Lodge first hand. Our chefs provide delicious breakfasts and lunches each day.
