Alcohol Treatment for the Individual

Friday, November 25th, 2011

Cirque Lodge Provides Individualized Alcohol TreatmentThere are a number of approaches to treating alcoholism. It can be advantageous to receive treatment from a program that applies a number of approaches. The Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab center offers such a program. A multifaceted addiction treatment is used to treat the disease of alcoholism at the Cirque. Much of this programming is based upon the need of the individual. While people can share the common malady of a drinking problem and alcoholism, the personal/emotional side of the issue can be very different. The treatment plan is tailored to address the struggles of the client on their level of need.

The care plan is created through a process of rigorous and professional assessment. This assessment begins prior to the resident coming to treatment with medical and alcohol abuse information. After detox is completed the assessment continues with a battery of tests that help to better determine individual need for care. These assessments are used in creating a proper treatment plan for the client.

Alcohol treatment for the individual also involves personal private therapy care. A resident is assigned a primary counselor for the duration of the treatment stay. Counselors are licensed professionals that oversee the individualized treatment plan and meet with clients often for private therapy/counseling sessions. Such a platform can be a venue for addressing the difficult and underlying struggles that can be involved with alcohol abuse and the problems that it causes. The personalized alcohol rehab or drug rehab approach to therapy is combined with traditional efforts of the 12-step program. This is to supply all the needed support for a successful and early recovery.

Structure to an Alcohol Treatment

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Alcohol Treatment FacilityThere are many aspects to alcohol treatment and the rehab program at Cirque Lodge. There are the clinical things that supply treatment for the disease of alcoholism. There are the experiential aspects that teach concepts recovery and spiritual growth. There is also the structure of the daily scheduling of programming that plays a part in the process of alcohol recovery. The schedule, structure and rules of the treatment facility help to establish boundaries with the alcoholic. In the struggles of seeking and drinking not many boundaries are established. Creating such boundaries in rehab can help the alcoholic realize where the boundaries need to be in their lives in regards to their addiction.

Structure also helps the individual to maintain a focus on their recovery. For many alcoholics, their efforts of recovery must be central in their lives to stay sober. The Cirque Lodge schedule helps the individual to establish such activities as study, meditation and planning in their days. Such efforts can be a recovery tool for the oncoming days and months of sobriety when the alcoholic has left the care of the facility. Structure helps the individual to make their life a bit more manageable without the need to drink to deal with problems that arise. Alcohol treatment is many things at the Cirque. The structure of the program and the rules help the individual to establish similar practices in their lives.

Alcohol Problems Need Treatment

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Struggling with Alcohol DependenceThe Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism released a new study in hopes to raise some awareness on the struggles of drinking. Hopefully these findings can help point out to individuals that they need treatment from an alcohol rehab or drug rehab facility. The study surveyed 7.4 million adult aged problem drinkers aged 21-64, and only 1.2 percent of these individuals feel treatment could help them. April is Alcohol Awareness Month and communities all over the country are participating with events to raise awareness on the struggles of drinking.

Chronic binge drinking, alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence are all serious issues. They are problems that affect families, personal relationships and work environments. This survey shows an alarming trend that many millions of problem drinkers go untreated. Dependence or alcoholism poses the most serious problem. In this case, the individual is unable to curb their drinking craving. This can also be coupled with more serious health issues and can be fatal. Proper treatment and alcohol rehab can provide a means to address this condition and arrest this disease. The SAMHSA Study reports of the 6 million individuals struggling with alcohol dependence, only 7.8 percent of them even recognized they required treatment.

Raising awareness can help to empower individuals to assist problem drinkers by identifying the problem and following through with a proper intervention. In many situations it does require a loved one, an employer, and sadly in some cases the criminal justice system to intervene on someone with a drinking problem. SAMHSA Administrator Pamela S. Hyde J.D. said, “Individuals, friends and family members clearly need help and support in confronting and doing something about the problem. Without help alcoholism can be fatal.”

Treatment for alcoholism can be found through many of the nation’s leading alcohol rehab and drug rehab providers. After conclusion of treatment, additional support and momentum for recovery can be found through involvement in Alcoholics Anonymous. Many have found a means to sobriety and managing the struggle of alcohol abuse and dependence. Addiction Treatment for Painkillers

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Addiction Treatment for PainkillersCirque Lodge can help you or a loved one with a caring alcohol rehab or drug rehab program. With the growing struggles of prescription drug and painkiller abuse, there is a growing need of addiction treatment programs for these individuals.

Addiction to painkillers is growing into a national problem. Prescription drug overdoses is the second leading cause of accidental death in the United States, next to automobile accidents. In some states it is the first. Painkillers are prescribed for treating mild, moderate and chronic pain. However, opioids used in creating these medications can have a narcotic effect and are highly addictive. More and more unsuspecting individuals, which have been prescribed these medications for pain, are discovering this when they try to stop dosage and are experiencing addiction withdrawal. The worse scenario is that they cannot stop and must continue to obtain painkillers once the pain has subsided.

When painkiller addiction cannot be stopped without help, an addiction treatment program becomes a life saving measure. Overdoses to such medications are growing at a rapid rate. A drug rehab program can provide the addict with a means to arresting their issue and treating for withdrawal. A residential addiction treatment facility can supply a controlled environment away from the struggles of it all. Cirque Lodge is secluded and private. It is considered one of the leading alcohol and drug rehab facilities. We strive to provide the very best in treatment and care for those suffering from painkiller addiction.

Alcohol Treatment Program for Families

Family Week Program at Cirque LodgeCirque Lodge focuses on addiction treatment for individuals and their families. The alcoholic isn’t the only one struggling within the home. Family members can also be greatly affected by the drinking and the erratic behaviors of a loved one. Within the alcohol treatment program at the Cirque, a week of programming is set aside for working with families. Family Week is an educational, intensive and effective aspect to the Cirque Lodge drug rehab program. It gives family members a chance to visit with their loved one in alcohol rehab. It also provides the family a place to start their own healing and recovery process.

Every third week of the treatment cycle is dedicated to Family Program. Those within the alcohol treatment program are encouraged to invite their loved ones to participate in this week of workshops and therapy activities. This program is foundational in providing family members with a more involved education on the nature of chemical dependency. A lecture is provided on the impact and changes that alcoholism has on the central nervous system. Workshops also educate on codependent relationships and enabling behaviors. Even when family members mean well, their behaviors can be enabling their loved one to drink. It is our hope that this education can provide the tools and instruction needed within the home for long term commitments to recovery.

Family Week can also give those involved a chance at open and honest communication. Special groups and therapy sessions are scheduled for this specific purpose during the Week. Cirque Lodge counselors work with families in these sessions. It can be the first chance to communicate and address the drinking struggles on a family level. This piece to Family Program can be pretty difficult for some; however it can be a start to the healing process as well. The family approach to drug rehab and alcohol treatment is not an easy one. At the Cirque, it is just part of the commitment to provide the most effective addiction and alcohol treatment program available.

Help From an Alcohol Treatment Program

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Cirque Lodge is a 12-step and abstinence based alcohol treatment program. Most alcoholics cannot moderate their drinking. It comes to a point where it is all or nothing. Alcohol and drug rehab can provide a program that stops the behavior. In addition, the alcoholic is prepared with skills to help them maintain sobriety after rehab is completed. Even those who have had years of sobriety and successful recovery can relapse.  Continuing to work each day at recovery can be a means of preventing a relapse from occurring. Treatment begins this process by arresting the disease of addiction.

This process continues through individual efforts after treatment is completed, but the alcoholic is not left alone. Support is prepared through many means. The alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge begins the process of the 12-steps. The help of Alcoholics Anonymous is a measure to continue these steps and a foundation for sober support. Additional therapy and counseling is also available through an aftercare plan which is coordinated for each client prior to leaving the Cirque. It is our commitment that each resident has a proper sober foundation and support to assist with the recovery process.

Treatment for alcoholism begins with the individual at Cirque Lodge. There are millions of people throughout the world who can be diagnosed as having a drinking problem. However, the purposes and struggles of their alcohol abuse can be unique and distinct to the individual. At the Cirque, we treat a number of individuals struggling with alcoholism and the abuse of liquor. Each client is treated with a program that is specific to their needs with effective therapies. During their alcohol rehab stay, a treatment plan is followed based upon these individual needs.

Each resident in alcohol rehab or drug rehab is cared for by a licensed and professional treatment staff. Each resident is assigned a counselor who oversees the addiction treatment experience.  Counselors work one-on-one with clients throughout their stay. Counselors provide a balance of addiction therapies and sessions to address the vulnerabilities and underlying issues that can act as fuels to the drinking problem. Within this personalized rehab setting, clients also develop the coping strategies needed to keep the alcoholism in remission.

Each alcoholic can be very different. Some may immediately take to the recovery process, other can struggle. The personalized approach provides the right aspects of care for the individual. The treatment plan is continually monitored and adjusted throughout the alcohol rehab stay to help with progress. With this, each client can receive the appropriate care that is required for recovery. Upon completion of addiction treatment, a care plan is personalized and put into place for continuing this process. According to the needs of the individual, these efforts are coordinated to assist the alcoholic with a proper transition and support network.
