Facilities, Treatment, Recovery

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

At Cirque, we strive to make all elements of our facilities as nice as they can be. Alcoholics and drug addicts can have a lot of misconceptions when it comes to “rehab” in general. With the accommodations, amenities and food, many of these misconceptions are stripped away. Those entering into alcohol or drug rehab can be scared of the unknown; some enter treatment kicking and screaming. But most of the times, when they get here and experience the nice things, the kindness of the staff, they can begin to feel more comfortable in the surround. This comfort can lead to becoming more involved in the recovery experience, and also making life changing decisions.

At the Cirque Lodge, we strive to make the rehabilitation program as effective as it can be. Even though we are a private and luxury style facility, the treatment is still rigorous and professional. Each resident undertakes their own personalized treatment experience. Residents are provided a battery of therapies and treatment elements. All of this is balanced with the healing and effective forms of experiential work that we offer residents. Our clinical team is made up of licensed professionals, who are dedicated to providing the utmost in care, support and therapy for residents.

We also strive to provide the tools and skills needed for long term recovery. We are founded on the 12-step program. We strive to help each individual in making connections to their higher power. With this come spiritual changes that are a powerful piece to recovery.  Programs and activities are provided to teach the recovering alcoholic/addict how to have in their sobriety. The facilities, treatment and experiences can help you or your loved one overcome the struggles of chemical dependency.

Falls Colors on the Mountain by Cirque LodgeAlcoholism and drug addiction are a steady course to insanity. Abusing these things can create chaos in ones life. A part of the purpose of recovery efforts is to restore ones life to sanity. We invite the alcoholic or drug addict to join us here in the mountains, receive treatment for your condition, and find a means for lasting sobriety. Cirque Lodge is well recognized in the field of alcohol and drug rehab. We offer a unique program that uses the serenity of the mountains to help in restoring the alcoholic/addict to sanity.

Residents of the Cirque Lodge do more than just look at the pretty fall colors on the mountain. They are immersed into nature through a number of experiential activities. These activities are used in teaching elements of the recovery process. Nature helps the individual in finding their spirit and in making connections to a power greater than their own. Experiential work also provides a new constructive activity that can replace the using and the drinking. If you or someone you love is suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction, come join us on the mountain, make peace with yourself, and find a means to a long term sobriety.

The Culinary Experience at Cirque Lodge

Cirque Lodge Chef Preparing a Meal

At Cirque Lodge, We provide residents nice accommodations and amenities for their treatment stay. One of these amenities is a delicious culinary experience. As a high end alcohol and drug rehab, we strive to make the dining reflect the highest levels of luxury. During a stay in rehab, residents are provided three well balanced meals each day. There are also snacks and drinks when needed. These meals are prepared by the Cirque chefs, and reflect that of gourmet dining.

Well balanced meals help the alcoholic/addict in receiving proper nutrients in their system. Some drugs can greatly suppress the appetite. Alcoholics can subsist for times on a “liquid” diet, where liquor is all that is consumed. These behaviors can leave the physical well being of the individual in sad shape. When they come to alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge, Physical recovery is provided with these well balanced meals and an active approach addiction treatment.

The culinary experience at Cirque Lodge is also sensitive to dietary needs of residents. Our chefs can prepare specific meals for specialty diets and concerns. Individuals can have varying dietary needs, like kosher or vegetarian. One in particular that is faced in alcohol and drug rehab are alcoholics who have type II diabetes. With proper notice, we can meet the needs of our residents’ dietary needs and help to improve their recovery experience here.

Aftercare, Continuing on After Drug Rehab

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Waterfall Near Cirque LodgeFriday morning of Family Week is a lecture on aftercare. Time spent receiving alcohol or drug rehab is only the beginning. The recovering alcoholic/addict is put on the right path with treatment and therapy for their addiction. Following alcohol and drug rehab, the individual must continue to work daily at maintaining their sobriety. Aftercare programs can continue to provide help and support. The aftercare lecture helps to inform family members on how they can be involved with their loved ones aftercare efforts.

Prior to completing alcohol or drug rehab, the resident works with aftercare and their primary counselor on developing a Continuing Care Plan for their recovery. There are many forms of additional treatment and sobriety help for those in recovery. These are laid out in the Continuing Care Plan. Following this plan can be a means to staying focused on recovery efforts. Such a focus can be a foundation against a relapse from occurring.

The central piece to the Continuing Care Plan is continuing to work the 12-step process. Alcohol and drug rehab begins the 12-steps, but only the first few are addressed. When rehab is completed, the individual must voluntarily work at completing the rest of the steps. Help and support are provided through Anonymous based support groups, like NA or AA. There are even support groups for family members like Alanon/Alateen. Recovery from addiction is a process. It has many ups and downs. Involvement in support groups and working the steps of recovery are a good foundation at achieving a long term sobriety goal.

Drug Rehab Care at Cirque Lodge

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Primary and Extended Care at Cirque LodgeAlcohol and drug rehab consists of 30-day programming. Primary care is the initial 30-day treatment experience. Alcohol and drug rehab is personalized for each resident, and treatment is an effective and unique balance of leading therapies and our experiential program. Cirque is a 12-step facility, and residents in primary care begin the process of working on the initial steps of recovery. Upon completion of primary care, a Continuing Care Plan (CCP) in prescribed for the recovery process. The CCP consists of additional elements of therapy, support and 12-step recovery to follow after the completion of rehab.

Some individuals may require a lengthier treatment time than a primary care stay. Primary counselors and our clinical director can make professional assessments on whether more time is needed in an alcohol and drug rehab setting. However, the decision to stay for additional care is left up to the resident and their family.

Cirque Lodge offers extended care at our Studio Facility. Extended care is a step forward through the recovery process. Residents continue to receive the highest levels of therapy and care, as they continue to progress on additional steps of the 12-step program. Extended care also introduces more of an involvement of the 12-step fellowship. Residents are allowed to attend outside 12-step meetings, and temporarily work with a local addiction sponsor. As with primary care, a Continuing Care Plan is prepared for those in extended care to continue to work at successful recovery.

Each resident works with their own addiction counselor. Our frontline staff is available 24/7 to meet resident’s needs and address concerns. Extended Alcohol and Drug Rehab Stays

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Outside The Gate at the StudioA Primary Care stay at Cirque Lodge is 30-days. However, this may not be enough time in a treatment environment. Residents can continue their addiction treatment for an Extended Care stay. Studies have shown that a 60-day or 90-day program is more effective for overcoming addiction. (A lot of drug rehab centers are changing their programs to a 90-day treatment). Alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge consists of 30-day treatment programs. Prior to completing primary care, addiction counselors may suggest additional time is needed before leaving the facility. Some individuals simply are not prepared for the recovery process.

Extended care at Cirque Lodge is a forward approach to continuing the recovery process. Extended treatment stays take place at our Studio facility. Residents in extended treatment also have additional efforts, and programs offered them than those in a Primary stay. They are allowed to obtain passes to go out and work with an addiction sponsor and outside 12-step meetings. Primary Care focuses on the first three steps of 12-step recovery. Residents in Extended Care work on additional steps during their stay. All of this is still based upon the personalized treatment plan of the individual.

Whether it is a primary or an extended stay, the residents are provided a Continuing Care Plan (CCP) when they are discharged. This plan is filled with additional therapy and support elements for after alcohol and drug rehab. Residents may require additional therapy. They can feel more comfortable spending the first few months in a sober living environment. These elements are a part of the CCP. This plan is based on the individual needs of the residents. Our counselors and aftercare staff work with each resident in preparing the right CCP for their needs.

Contemplating Getting a Loved One HelpThe difficulty for some, when it’s time to get a loved one into drug rehab, is what to do next. The decision has been made to get help for alcohol or drug addiction, but how to go about it can be confusing. A simple call to 1-877-99-REHAB can make a difference. It is the number here at Cirque Lodge. Treating alcohol and drug addiction is our passion. Many people can have questions about what to do, or how to get help with what to do. Our admissions office is available to answer questions and to help begin the recovery process.

For some, drug rehab isn’t easily accepted. It requires intervention. It requires detoxification. These elements can seem like a hindrance to getting a loved one into rehab program. At Cirque Lodge, we can help with all of this. We work with a number of the leading intervention service companies in the United States. We can make recommendations and provide contact information for interventionists. We are also locally affiliated with a detoxification facility. The detox process just becomes a part of the drug rehab process here at our facility.

The most important thing to help you or a loved one in finding drug rehab is to make the call. This can be a difficult decision. It means giving up something that really has a complete control. Our admissions office can help you begin the process. They are excited about what they do. This is because they were once in your similar shoes. Cirque Lodge helped them find an answer to alcohol and drug addiction. They made the phone call and it changed their lives. We encourage you to do the same. Make the call for you or a loved one. Caring Staff Members at Cirque LodgeThe caring staff at Cirque Lodge consists of a number of unique personalities. They are committed to helping you or a loved one achieve a lasting sobriety from alcohol and drug addiction. Many of Cirque Lodge’s staff is in successful recovery themselves. Some have even found this recovery through alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge. This is a continuance of working the 12-step program. Once you find recovery for yourself, you take this message to fellow addicts and alcoholics to help them. There is not a better place than an addiction treatment facility to share this message with others in need.

The Cirque Lodge staff is one that exceeds every expectation. They go beyond the call of duty to help clients feel comfortable, and find answers for their addiction problems. Part of this has to do with the fact that many counselors and case workers were in a similar situation not too long ago. They strive to help clients have the very best possible treatment experience; the way it was for them when they found recovery. Cirque Lodge has a highly effective drug rehab program. It is the staff however that makes this program work. They go to any effort to provide such a high level of care.
