Comfortable, Private and Exclusive Drug RehabWhen an alcoholic or drug addict enters into treatment for their addictions they can be going through quite a rough patch. The initial stages of detox, intervention and giving up a substance of abuse can take its toll. When such individuals come for alcohol treatment or drug rehab at Cirque Lodge, we strive to surround them with comfort, privacy and supportive care to help them in this time of critical need. As one of the finest addiction treatment facilities, the Cirque Lodge focus is on a private and exclusive drug rehab and recovery experience.

Comfort and support for the struggling addict/alcoholic begins with the facilities. The Cirque Lodge and Studio emphasize high end living and a homelike atmosphere of comfort. Coupled into this is gourmet-style dining to supply nutrition and dietary needs through a delicious means. When people come to alcohol treatment or drug rehab they can be coming from very difficult positions. They can have preconceived notions (usually negative) about rehab. The Comfort, atmosphere and care supplied at Cirque Lodge seeks to exceed expectations and dispel any negative notions about recovering from the difficult struggles of substance abuse and addiction.

Privacy is also at the heart of all of this. Resident privacy is maintained in the highest regard at both Cirque Lodge facilities. This of course has to do with professionalism and also the traditions of the 12-step approach to recovery, which the alcohol and drug rehab are founded upon at Cirque. Treatment is personalized and confidential to supply care for the specific needs of clients. Such a private approach is beneficial to high profile individuals in need of alcohol and drug rehab treatment. Most importantly, clients are cared for and supported by the measures of treatment supplied by the clinical and members of resident staff. Those in alcohol treatment and drug rehab have such individuals available to them around-the-clock to help with resident concerns. This caring surround of support and treatment, coupled with the private and exclusive comfort of the facility can supply a foundational beginning for arresting the disease of addiction and starting paths of recovery.

Help Through a Guesting Privilege

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

Cirque Lodge Alcohol and Drug RehabCirque Lodge is considered one of the very best alcohol and drug rehab facilities in the world. One of the reasons for such consideration is the level of care provided to residents. This comes both during the addiction treatment stay and after clients leave the facility. A privilege is offered to graduates of the Cirque Lodge program to return at any time and Guest with us when needed during the recovery process. The lifetime guesting privilege allows the Cirque Alum to return to the serenity of the mountains and to get centered once again on the efforts of recovery.

The initial stages after treatment and working steps of recovery can be most crucial. The recovering alcoholic/addict can experience what is called Post-Acute Withdrawal Symptoms those initial weeks and months after drug rehab or alcohol treatment is completed. These symptoms can be difficult and can lead to relapse if not cared for properly. With the Guesting Privilege in place for Cirque Lodge Alumni, it is recommended that clients return when needed to receive additional care and support. Guesting is free of charge and consists of up to an additional 96 hours of care at a time.

Guesting is reserved for clients who have remained sober and is based upon room availability. The privilege is also not just for those who are struggling. Over the years past clients have returned to the Cirque to celebrate milestones in their recovery and to remember their experiences here. Cirque alumni are also encouraged to return and participate in Family Week workshops as well to help with their recovery process.

Drug Rehab Care and Self Care

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Drug Rehab Care and Self-CareWhen alcohol treatment or drug rehab is completed, the recovering alcoholic/addict must take measures to effectively manage their lives and sobriety. This can be a difficult task without support and coping strategies that the individual can rely upon. One area that is worked upon while residents are in treatment at the Cirque Lodge drug rehab center is with methods of self-care. These are measures taken by the individual each day to help them focus on their recovery and not to be overwhelmed by stresses and triggers that can be had with the issues of daily life.

In treatment, residents of the Cirque Lodge have community meetings each day to help them get centered and focused. Part of this is reading out of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and taking time for meditation. The residents can see such a daily effort as tedious at first, but in the long run such practices can be an important and influential peace to recovery. Self-care can also consist of a regular exercise or yoga program, or similar means to help with physical recovery. Such simple actions or daily practices can be a means to maintaining that focus on sobriety and not being overwhelmed.

Support for the cause is also found through continuing the efforts of care in the recovery process. Even after treatment is completed, additional efforts in treatment and recovery can be an influential part of long term sobriety. Graduates of the Cirque Lodge program are provided a Continuing Care Plan to assist with furthering care after drug rehab is completed. Additional therapies, outpatient programs, a sober living home and aftercare programs can all be a means to helping the individual alcoholic/addict with their recovery. A very important piece to this continuing care and self-care is involvement in a community like Alcoholics Anonymous, or similar self-help program. A Continuing Care Plan will coordinate these efforts for the Cirque graduate to assist with a transition into such a community after drug rehab is completed.

Supplying a Positive Experience

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

Inside the Cirque LodgeA positive experience can play an integral part in the treatment of addiction and in the healing process. When an alcoholic/addict enters treatment they can be coming from pretty low points in their lives. Some can be compelled into alcohol or drug rehab through the criminal justice system, others have hit bottom and feel there may be no way out. As the first step says “they are powerless over their addiction and their lives have become unmanageable.” At the Cirque Lodge we strive to reverse and address these things with comfort and with care.

Residents of the Cirque Lodge facilities are surrounded by caring staff members. These individuals are the first line of intervention and recovery with clients. Clinical counselors are put into place to help with personal therapy and treatment sessions. A number of Cirque Lodge staff is in recovery. They are more than examples of sobriety. They are individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving others that struggle with this disease. When new residents are admitted, extra care is taken to ensure these individuals are having their needs met and are comfortable with the facility and drug rehab program.

Comfort is another area where the Cirque strives to help those who are picking themselves up from the struggles of addiction. No expense has been spared in providing a home like and special place for recovery. The alcoholic/addict can be coming from some very difficult places in their lives. We strive to exceed every expectation when they come to treatment. The beds are comfortable, the climate is warm and caring, the food is delicious and there are individuals here willing to help along the way.

Alcohol treatment and drug rehab can be intensive. Overcoming an addiction to alcohol or drugs is not easy. It means giving up something that can have a pretty strong hold on the individual. The Cirque Lodge and Studio are special places, where alcoholics and addicts can have a positive and foundational experience to begin their recovery process. This is done within a comfortable and caring environment.

Cirque Lodge Culinary Program

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Cirque Lodge Culinary ProgramCirque Lodge is recognized for having a very private and luxury styled alcohol and drug rehab facility. Accommodations and amenities reflect those you would find in a world-class mountain retreat. Coupled into this is an exceptional culinary program for residents. Clients are provided three well-rounded meals each day. These are gourmet styled meals with the freshest of ingredients that reflect the levels of luxury within the facility. The Cirque Lodge kitchen staff is made up of culinary school graduates and food professionals committed to providing a fine dining experience for those in alcohol and drug rehab.

Delicious meals also help to supply the recovering alcoholic/addict in rehab with needed nutrients. The abuse of drugs and alcohol can lead to unhealthy lifestyles and diets. Some drugs are known to suppress the appetite. Alcoholism can also lead to type II diabetes. Well-rounded meals incorporated into an active alcohol and drug rehab program can play a part in physical recovery from the struggles of addiction. This balance can help the body to heal, while the clinical aspects of addiction treatment are working on the mind and the spirit.

Cirque Lodge has somewhat of an open kitchen for clients. Throughout the day residents can come to the kitchen and get a snack, make a sandwich or to grab a drink. Alternate meal options are also available for residents who have special dietary needs. Upon completion of an alcohol or drug rehab stay, we ask clients to comment on their experiences here at Cirque Lodge. Most oftentimes it is the culinary experiences that gain high marks and praise from the graduates of the program. At the Cirque, it is just one of the aspects we emphasize to provide one the of the finest addiction treatment facilities.

Family Alcohol and Drug Rehab Care

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Family Programs in Alcohol and Drug RehabAlcohol and drug addiction can impact much more than just the alcoholic or the addict. Family members and friends can also be struggling from their loved ones behaviors and problems that have been heaped upon them. Many alcohol and drug rehab providers incorporate an element of family care and treatment. While a loved one is going through a drug rehab program, the family can be involved through workshops, recovery meetings, therapy programs and activities. Cirque Lodge offers a Family Week to clients and their loved ones. Every three weeks of treatment at the Cirque are designated to specifically working with the family of the residents of our facilities.

Family members can mean well when trying to help a loved one struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction. However, these good intentions can actually be negative and enabling behaviors. Family workshops and therapy sessions are used to address these behaviors in the home, clear up misconceptions that can be involved with addiction, and provide support for different struggles and areas of concern.

Each day of Cirque Lodge Family Week consists of a different workshop to better educate the family on addiction. This education can be used as a resource after a loved one is ready to leave alcohol or drug rehab and begin the recovery process. The family can be very integral piece to this process. Cirque workshops also help the family in looking at their own behaviors. Workshops address codependency and enabling, addiction as a disease, the family system and the importance of aftercare. Balanced into this are clinical aspects of therapy and a chance to experience Cirque Lodge’s many experiential activities.

There are many different programs available to assist an alcoholic or addict after they complete a drug rehab stay. Recovery from addiction does take time to overcome and additional programs, support and therapy can be a major help along the way. Family members can also be involved and receive support and therapy as well. Family therapies can be a part of an outpatient or recovery program of an alcoholic/addict. Family members can also become involved in the Al-anon/Alateen program. Alcoholics and Addicts have support groups and 12-steps to help them find a long term means to staying clean and/or sober. The Al-anon program is a similar means of support and help for the loved ones of alcoholics; Alateen offers an anonymous effort for adolescents.

Alumni Guesting in Drug Rehab

Monday, March 28th, 2011

Rose Garden Outside the Cirque Lodge StudioRecovery is a process that takes time and effort. Even upon successfully completing an alcohol or drug rehab program, the impulses to use and the cravings to drink can take time to overcome. Many experts say that it takes about a year of abstinence for recovery to take hold and be more successful. Aftercare programs and additional therapies and support are provided throughout this process by alcohol and drug rehab providers. At Cirque Lodge, Alumni are provided with a Guesting Privilege to assist in the success of staying sober.

The Guesting Privilege is available free of charge to clients who have successfully completed alcohol or drug rehab at the Cirque. It allows the individual to return to the facility when needed for additional care and treatment. The Privilege is for alumni who have remained sober. Long Term Drug Rehab Program

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

Long Term Drug Rehab ProgramOvercoming an alcohol or drug addiction takes time. This length of time can be different based upon the individual, but due to the nature of chemical dependence, it is a process and not a necessarily an event. Adequate time within a treatment and recovery setting can make all the difference in the success of overcoming an addiction. To help individuals deal with the struggles of addiction and to develop the skills to prevent relapse from occurring, many treatment providers offer a long term drug rehab program. Studies have shown that lengthier treatment stays can provide better outcomes.

A long term drug rehab program can involve a number of things. One aspect is to effectively help the individual transition into recovery. The safety of the treatment facility will not always be there and becoming involved with a recovery group or outpatient program can be the next logical step in the process. This transition can be into a sober living environment, or becoming much more involved in a 12-step community like A.A. or N.A. Long term drug rehab can also involve a more thorough assessment of the individual and strategies they need for relapse prevention. This can be found through individualized and family therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, and through furthering the efforts of 12-step work.

Long term drug rehab can also help to establish an effective aftercare plan for the alcoholic/addict. The most critical time for those in recovery is the initial days after leaving a rehab. Having an effective plan and programs in place with aftercare can help to reduce this risk. The alcoholic/addict has more time in a long term stay to search out their options and to become involved in the aspects of the recovery community that can help them maintain sobriety. Some drug rehab facilities and programs even offer services and provide aspects of aftercare for those who have been through treatment.

A short term rehab stay may not be the best measure for some struggling with alcohol or drugs. It may not give them the adequate treatment and time needed to deal with the cravings and impulses to use or drink. Most leading alcohol and drug rehab providers offer long term programs for recovery. Long term programs are not for everyone, but can provide a solid start for getting into recovery and preventing relapse from occurring.

Continuing Care and Support after Drug Rehab

Continuing Care and Support
Alcoholism and drug addiction are chronic conditions in the brain. It can take a bit of time in recovery before the cravings, impulses and triggers begin to lessen. Alcohol and drug rehab provides treatment for this condition, but it is only the beginning of the recovery process. When drug rehab is completed, aftercare programs are put into place to assist with this process. The efforts help to continue the care of a drug rehab stay (without being in a rehab setting) and provide support for recovery. This also is an effective piece in helping with the transition back into a productive and sober lifestyle. This post takes a look at different elements used to continue care after alcohol or drug rehab is completed.

  • Outpatient Programs – outpatient care allows the individual to continue aspects of drug rehab treatment while living at home. Outpatient programs can vary on their intensity. They can be for a few hours each day, or just once a week. Outpatient programs are offered in different capacities as well. Private counseling and outpatient services are available. Many departments of public health and human services offer the community outpatient programs and counseling also.
  • Therapy – Addiction therapies can also be continued after treatment is completed. Many alcohol and drug rehab programs incorporate such therapies into their aftercare program. Such therapies continue to address behaviors and working on goals and skills for relapse prevention. Just like in rehab, counseling and therapy can be provided on an individualized, group and even family setting.
  • Sober Living – It can be best to transition from an alcohol or drug rehab into a sober living environment. A Sober house provides a home environment where recovery is still the central focus. Those who live there are welcome to pursue their efforts of life (Work, School, Family, etc.). Scheduled into regular aspects of daily life in a sober house are support groups, counseling and additional responsibilities to assist with the recovery process.
  • Meetings/Sponsor – Perhaps the most utilized organization for continuing care and support after alcohol or drug rehab is the 12-step community. Alcoholics Anonymous is the most widely known and largest fellowship. There are similar 12-step recovery groups for narcotics, cocaine and marijuana. 12-step rehabs begin the process of the program. After drug rehab is completed, the recovery community continues the work of the program and supplies support. Those new to the community are usually assigned a sponsor to assist them in their effort and with the steps. A sponsor is an example of sober living and provides a personal support during these initial months of recovery.

Personalized Care in a Drug Rehab Program

Friday, February 11th, 2011

Personalized Drug Rehab Care and CounselingThere are many ways to treat alcoholism and drug addiction and what works for one individual may not be as effective for another. The approach to treating a mother of three with a drinking problem can be very different than the approach to a college student with an addiction to cocaine. Better outcomes were found through personalizing the alcohol rehab or drug rehab treatment more to meet the needs of the individual. Alcohol and drug rehab providers also incorporated more programs and treatment approaches to the process.

There are just too many behavioral aspects, family and personal conflicts when dealing with alcoholics or addicts. A cookie cutter approach to care just cannot treat all the concerns. With personalized care in a drug rehab program you have therapies on an individualized level to address these issues with a clinical professional. Such a setting can be therapeutic in addressing some of the underlying concerns, trauma and struggles that are being dealt with. Cognitive and behavioral approaches are also used to create strategies against such behaviors. Many drug rehab providers also involve the family for therapy and recovery programs.

Many alcoholics and addicts come into treatment at their lowest point. Personalized care can be a means to connecting with them and supporting them in their recovery. This is not an easy process. Some can fight it initially. The patience of a counselor or therapist and the care they provide can be means to connecting. A personalized approach can offer exactly what that individual is standing in need of to overcome chemical dependency and once again lead a productive life. Most alcohol rehab and drug rehab providers are focusing more on the personalized treatment of the individual alcoholic/addict.
