Cirque Lodge Family Program
Every third week of treatment programming at Cirque Lodge is devoted to working with family members. Residents are encouraged to invite their close loved ones to participate in Family Week. This four day long program provides a number of different workshops and activities, based on rehabilitation and recovery. The program can better educate family members on the nature of addiction and can clarify misconceptions that family members might have. The family can play an integral part in the success of recovery. The education of Family Week prepares everyone involved for this role in the recovery process of their loved one.
During Family Week, residents and their loved ones participate in a number of different recovery activities. Cirque Lodge is known for its experiential program. Family members have an opportunity to take part in a few of these fun and engaging activities. Personal family counseling sessions are also scheduled during this week. Therapies can help to clear up misconceptions and provide a place for honest and open communication.
Family Week can help in making preparations for the recovery process. Everyone involved can benefit from support and help along the way. A workshop is provided on the importance of aftercare and the surround of support. The recovering alcoholic/addict and their family members can greatly benefit from receiving additional support along the way. Different aftercare options are discussed and family members are even educated on programs like Alanon that can help them with recovery. All of this is provided within the care of the Cirque Lodge Family Program.
