Drug Rehab Building with Activities
The Studio facility of Cirque Lodge is home to our indoor ropes course. It is housed inside a 17,000 foot sound stage. Usually, when you think a Ropes course, you think of climbing and scaling obstacles high up in the air. At Cirque Lodge we also use team building and communication exercises in our ropes course. These are known as ‘low ropes’ events. Cirque is known for our experiential program. It enhances and builds on the effectiveness of the treatment from our alcohol and drug rehab program.
The low ropes activities help to build different elements. Many of these are team exercises, where the group must work together to accomplish the feat. These can me instrumental at helping build lines of communication. People in drug rehab can be struggling with things. Activities like this can help them make breakthroughs in communicating their feelings. After each activity, there is a lesson to be learned. The experiential staff has a sit down and discusses the positives of the activity, and what each individual learned about them in the exercise.
Group activities such as these also help to build support. Support is valuable when it comes to alcohol and drug addiction recovery. Support helps to build strength. Individuals who aren’t used to leading a group can find themselves as the vocal leader with one of these experiential activities. Others can realize how much they need the help of others in their lives. With alcohol and drug addiction, the central nervous system can have problems; the frontal lobe is affected. These activities can also help to rebuild the thought process that is damaged over years of alcohol and drug abuse.
