Family Week takes place every three weeks of treatment. This allows each and every resident of Cirque Lodge an opportunity to invite their loved ones a time or two to be involved in Family Week.
The family program is a week long program of activities geared towards family education, treatment and help. The loved one may not know this, but their influence can be very polarizing, either positive or negative, on their loved one. Family Week helps to educate on things like enabling and codependency. It takes a look at the break down of the family system, and even educates on the importance and need for aftercare. Family members can become more aware of their influence and focus on the positives for the loved one’s recovery process.
Family Week is also a chance for family members to experience Cirque Lodge and drug rehab first hand. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day for family members. Family also has the opportunity to engage in a number of different experiential activities and challenges. There are also personalized therapy sessions for the family to deal with some of their struggles. These therapies are provided in a caring environment with clinical professionals. A lot of things go into making the experience at Cirque Lodge an effective tool for recovery. The family element to drug rehab is definitely one of them.
