Exercise, Drug Rehab and Recovery
Exercise is incorporated into the more traditional parts of alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge. This can help with the physical recovery from the damage caused by alcoholism or addiction. It can also be used as a mode of relapse prevention and recovery activity. Residents of the Lodge have their own private workout facilities. The Studio residents have a standing membership at a local fitness club. There is time designated each day for exercise that residents can elect to take part in.
After a stay in drug rehab, different tools, practices and skills can be utilized as methods of relapse prevention. Exercise or yoga can be such a tool. At Cirque Lodge, the positives of exercise and yoga are a part of the addiction treatment day. Residents can apply them to their life prior to leaving the safety of the treatment facility. Those in extended care can even take part in a wellness program that helps to improve their overall fitness through personal trainers. Cirque focuses on treatment for body, mind and spirit. The body finds recovery through the active efforts of our program.
