Helping to Sleep in Drug Rehab
When a person is taken off of drugs or alcohol, the body can have a number of adverse reactions. This is known as withdrawal. The physical struggles of withdrawal are primarily taken care of during the detoxification process. However, psychological withdrawal usually takes a little longer to overcome. The most common issue of this withdrawal is anxiety, which causes unwanted restlessness and sleeplessness.
A part of effective drug rehab is helping to treat this withdrawal. If an individual is able to get to sleep, they are more likely to be more comfortable, and stay within the program. At Cirque Lodge, we provide a number of elements to help our clients with getting to sleep. These are therapeutic things meant to help the entire body. Many fine amenities from comfortable beds, to saunas and Jacuzzis, are provided to help our clients overcome the restlessness and get a good nights rest.
Each night clients have a closing group. This is a group geared to help with relaxation and reducing stress. Clients are given a chance to relax, meditate, and let go of the stresses in their lives. Letting go such things can be an important aspect of reducing some of the stresses caused by addiction withdrawal. Clients get a better nights rest, and are in a better mindset to face the challenges of overcoming addiction.
