Mountains and Nature in Rehab
A part of the alcohol and drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge takes place in the mountains. Residents of our facilities have many opportunities to get out on the mountain and enjoy nature based activities. We offer an experiential program as a part of treatment. Lessons and strategies for the recovery process are learned through these types of activities. Residents can get out and experience the peace of being surrounded by nature, as well as enjoying life through activities like biking, rafting and fly fishing.
There is a healing that is found in the serenity of nature. Residents have opportunities to find their own quiet spot, on certain excursions, and meditate. This can be a powerful experience. Individuals working through the recovery process can use this time to make life changing decisions and internal changes. As a 12-step alcohol and drug rehab facility, an emphasis is placed on making connections to a higher power. Out on the mountain, surrounded by the quiet serenity of nature, one can find and make these connections.
