Support for the Recovery Process

Building Support for the Recovery ProcessThe recovery process can be a little easier when one doesn’t go it alone. Support can be a necessary crutch for dealing with the impulses of addiction. Most recovery programs use support groups to help individuals stay clean, focused and working on goals. Being surrounded by positive influences can make a difference. For clients of the Cirque Lodge, this support begins in alcohol and drug rehab.

From counselors, to cleaning staff, to fellow residents, Support is provided for recovery. Throughout the treatment experience, many therapy elements and activities are provided in a group setting. This is to help build support for recovery. Cirque Lodge is a 12-step program, based on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. As a 12-step program, a part of treatment is to attend meetings and work with a sponsor. This continues to build a support network around the individual.

Once alcohol or drug rehab is completed, the individual in recovery is once again faced by the troubles and temptations of the world. A supportive environment can ease the burdens of dealing with such problems. To assist in this, each client is provided with means of aftercare when they leave our facility. This includes a continuing involvement in AA, NA, CA, or a subsequent recovery program. Through this means the individual can find needed support, and continue to work with their higher power towards a successful recovery.
