Support Throughout Drug Rehab
Overcoming the struggles of alcohol or drug addiction can be hard on your own. That is why most recovery programs use forms of support groups as a part of alcohol and drug rehab. Support can be an essential part of the recovery process. It helps individuals who may be struggling with the strength of a supportive network of people. Developing support begins in alcohol or drug rehab. 12-step programs will use a support network like AA or NA as a tool of the recovery process.
After rehab, such support groups can become a needed assistant in turbulent times. Such groups will continue the work of the 12-step process, keep the focus on a higher power, and provide support when needed. Most of these groups will use a sponsoring program to provide personal support in ones time of need. A network of support can help to strengthen the individual against the burdens of addiction.
Cirque Lodge is founded on the 12-step program. The Studio facility in Orem Utah is used as a home for many outside 12-step meetings. Clients in extended care are invited to attend these outside meetings as well as work with a sponsor as a part of treatment.
