Treatment Elements for Family in Drug Rehab
Family Week is an integral part of the treatment approach at the Cirque Lodge alcohol and drug rehab. Every three weeks into the treatment cycle is set aside and designated for Family Week. Residents and clients are encouraged to invite the close members of their family to be involved in the activities. As much as Family Week is helpful to residents, it is also beneficial for family members.
Addiction can affect more than just those who use. Family members and close loved ones can also be deeply impacted by the erratic behavior of addiction. Part of Family Week is providing healing for family members who may be suffering. Family week is a four day program. It consists of many activities and therapy elements. Family members are educated on the nature of addiction. They are also treated to many of the experiential activities that help clients to learn and grow in recovery. Most importantly the family has a chance to clear up any misunderstandings that are developed, because of addiction.
