For those who are suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction, there is hope and healing found in the mountains. Cirque Lodge, in the mountains of Sundance Utah, is an alcohol and drug rehab facility for individuals who are suffering from addiction. The inpatient drug treatment program is a means to coming to terms with the addiction, and developing the skills needed for long term sobriety. We invite you to give us a call at 1-877-99-REHAB and see if Cirque Lodge is the facility for you.
Cirque is known for its highly effective and unique approach to a
residential drug treatment program.

We do use traditional programming and support found in 12-step recovery. We also use the most modern forms of intensive cognitive and behavioral therapies. Woven into these treatments is our use of experiential activities. The programming is personalized to meet the needs of each individual. Every third week of treatment is designated for family element. The balance of all of these elements provides everything needed for a lasting recovery from addiction.
The difference to our
leading drug treatment program is the experiential therapy. We take concepts of recovery and addiction programs and apply them to a learning activity. Each day, residents of our facilities have a chance to embark on a number of different activities that teach strategies for recovery, or provide a spiritual healing. Nature and the surrounding mountains play a part in all of this. We use something like a hike, a rope course activity, horses, and even a private helicopter to help in teaching recovery concepts. It is profoundly therapeutic and influential to those seeking recovery.
Individualized Drug Treatment Program
All aspects to our inpatient drug treatment program are individualized to meet the specific needs of the resident. We treat individuals from all over. A housewife from Colorado can require a different therapy approach than a businessman from Connecticut. People have different needs and can require different things from their recovery program. Throughout an alcohol or drug rehab stay, our clients work privately and personally at their own program. Each resident works individually with a primary counselor. This is a licensed professional who is sensitive to the needs of the resident. They work with them according to these needs.
Upon admission into our addiction treatment facility, each resident undergoes a rigorous assessment and evaluation process. This assessment uses an inventory to gauge the type of individual and personality type that is in need of treatment. A professional evaluation also helps us to determine proper courses of action for those in need of dual diagnosis. The results of this assessment are used in preparing the individualized drug rehab program that the resident is to follow. Throughout treatment, the resposnses and reactions of specific therapies are observed, and the treatment plan is continually tailored to provide the most effective experience.
Alcohol and drug addiction can just be the surface of a much deeper underlying issue. People can become addicted as a means to self medicate away traumatic experiences, or to help them in dealing with grief. Another way we individualize the
drug treatment program at Cirque Lodge is by using one-on-one personal therapies. Primary counselors are licensed to provide effective personal therapies. This is a platform for addressing some of the more private things that can not be shared in group. Our caring staff is always available to listen to and support residents through their concerns.
12-step Element to Drug Treatment
Cirque Lodge is very much a 12-step alcohol rehab and drug rehab facility. Since rehab isn't near enough time to get through many of the steps, we focus on the first 3 steps for those in primary care. For some, the first step can be the most difficult. This step is the admittance step; admitting that alcoholism and drug addiction is a problem, admitting that life is unmanageable because of this condition. An addicted individual will go to great lengths sometimes before they will admit that this is a problem. Addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge can help the recovering addict to realize their condition and come to terms with it. Once they are willing to change, an effective and
exclusive drug treatment program are provided to support their decision.
The next steps involve individuals making connections to a higher power.

This is a spiritual aspect to the recovery process. At Cirque Lodge, we treat many individuals from all walks of life. These individuals can have very different concepts of a higher power. We allow our residents to develop their own path of spirituality, and invite them to find a higher power that helps them connect the most. Nature plays a part in all of this. We use the mountain for its spiritual aspects and even use Native American concepts of spirituality. Out on the mountain, our residents can make these connections and turn over their will (and their problems) to a power greater than their own.
When alcohol and drug rehab is completed, the 12-step process continues on. Residents continue to receive guidance and support from the 12-step fellowship they are involved with. The 12-steps are a purification process, and as the recovering alcoholic/addict continues working these steps, the chance of relapse becomes less likely. Moreover, the process of recovery becomes more integral to their lives and a foundation for their future.
