Elements to Drug Treatment

There are many elements to alcohol treatment and drug treatment. These are broken down into three particular stages of the recovery process. The initial stage to alcohol or drug rehab is detoxification. The detox process rids the addict/alcoholic of the harmful toxins of drugs and alcohol and treats for addiction withdrawal. Cirque Lodge does not offer detoxification at our facility. We are partnered with a local facility that specializes specifically in detoxification services. This is a medical detoxification. Once detox is completed, one of Cirque Lodge's private vehicles will transport the resident to one of our facilities.

The second aspect to a drug treatment program is specifically the alcohol rehab and drug rehab portion. Cirque Lodge is a leading drug treatment rehab and we use many types of treatments and therapies to arrest the disease of addiction. Treatment is personalized for each resident. It is based on the 12-step program and an effective balance of experiential activities play a vital roll to rehab and the recovery process. During treatment, programs and elements are implemented to help in building support. Effective means of support can be helpful in an early and lasting recovery.

Alcohol and drug addiction isn't something that is cured. A person must learn to manage their impulses to overcome them over time. When residents are ready to leave alcohol and drug rehab, measures of aftercare are quite helpful. Proper forms of aftercare can be strong measures of relapse prevention. At Cirque Lodge, our aftercare staff works with residents to find the best elements of aftercare for them. An integral part of aftercare is continuing to work the steps of the 12-step recovery. Continuing on After Rehab
