Experiential Therapy in an Alcohol and Drug Rehab Program
Dave Beck, the experiential director at Cirque Lodge discusses elements of our experiential program. Cirque Lodge uses experiential activities to enhance addiction treatment, as well as the recovery process. Dave has been an instrumental part of developing a unique and amazing experiential piece. These activities incorporate a number of unique elements that are woven into the fabrics of our traditional 12-step drug rehab program.
Dave discusses the importance of providing vital spiritual experiences. Many elements of our experiential program are to provide such experiences to the alcoholics and addicts in treatment. This experience creates an internal shift, a change that is needed for a successful recovery. The experiential program is a profoundly effective piece to our drug rehab facility. Experiential activities provide many different elements to the recovery process. These activities help in a number of ways. There are activities that help in communication, learning to build trust, and learning the advantages to support. There are also spiritual based activities that help clients work the 12-steps of recovery. These elements can help the individual discover healing and recovery for themselves
The experiential portion of our drug rehab program can provide change from alcohol and drug addiction. These experiences can help to heal the troubled mind and introduce the therapeutic healing of nature. Cirque Lodge clients can have the experiences needed to truly overcome the struggles of drugs and alcohol. This doesn't happen overnight. It is a process. However, each day presents a new day and new challenge through experiential learning activities. It is enjoyable, and enhances the time spent in our addiction treatment facility.
