The Ropes Challenge Course
Cirque Lodge Studio Alcohol and Drug Rehab Center
Part of the
experiential addiction treatment program here at the Cirque Lodge
drug rehab center includes sessions in the indoor ropes course pictured above. This is the world's largest indoor ropes and challenge course, and features both high and low elements, a thirty-foot rope swing, a zip line and an indoor archery range. These programs help individuals recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction to regain self-esteem, learn teamwork, and the importance of being able to ask for help. Alcohol and drug abuse can lead to a loss of depth perception, and the archery course is designed to help residents regain this needed physical capability. All of these therapies help support the overall
drug rehab program, which is based on the 12-step method developed by Alcoholics Anonymous.
Working as a Group in Drug Rehab
The ropes course offers a challenge to our residents year round. It also offers a unique chance for residents to overcome obstacles as a group. The ropes course teaches a valuable lesson in overcoming fears and trusting in those that are available to help. Completion of the course also allows the unbelievable thrill of a four story descent on a zip line. The ropes course offers a different and fun aspect of the drug rehab process. Overcoming the challenge of the course can teach essential aspects to overcoming addiction. Residents can rely on each other for strength and support as they attempt to conquer this unique challenge. Residents can also experience the thrill of being hoisted up by their peers and flying through the air on our 30 foot rope swing. Many former residents have enjoyed the experience of the ropes course and felt that overcoming the challenge helped them in their drug rehab process.
Native American Culture in Drug Rehab
Also available in our huge sound stage at the drug rehab center is an archery range. This activity can teach the importance of focus as well as physical conditioning. We also have an authentic Native American style teepee in this location. We use the teepee for group base therapy activities. There are many aspects of healing that can be learned from Native American culture. Our experiential therapy program uses some of the aspects to teach our addiction treatment residents the healing ability of nature. We feel that by showing our residents different ways to overcome, they will find methods that can help them in the process of recovery. Our huge sound stage houses different types of activities that build on those very principals. Let our drug rehab program help you today.
