Nutrition at the Studio
Drug Rehab Center

Proper nutrition is an important part of an effective alcohol and drug rehab program. The Studio at Cirque Lodge, Orem Utah, has a large staff of qualified chefs who prepare the menus and delicious meals with the needs of those recovering from alcoholism and drug abuse in mind. Our large dining area is located on the beautiful and spacious third floor of our drug rehab center. This inviting open area features floor to ceiling glass walls with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. There is also a quiet sitting area in front of a gas fireplace. Large padded chairs and couches along with a custom cedar ceiling add to the comfortable environment.

Nutrition is something that we take very seriously here at the Studio. Balanced with exercise in drug rehab, nutrition can help in achieving physical recovery. Often times when an individual is addicted to alcohol and drugs they do not receive the proper nutrition that is necessary to stay healthy. Many of the residents of the studio enter our drug rehab program undernourished. The chefs at the studio prepare meals that are well balanced and provide proper nutrition that the residents may be lacking. We make sure that the residents receive the right nutrients so they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. Proper nutrition is needed to enjoy many of our experiential therapy activities as well.

Professionally Trained Chefs

Proper nutrition is an important cornerstone for any successful alcohol and drug rehab program. Here at the Studio at Cirque Lodge, we have professionally trained chefs who carefully prepare meal plans for those recovering from alcoholism or drug addiction. With proper nutrition, the resident is better able to participate in some our active outdoor experiential activities.

Some individuals can have special dietary needs. With proper notice, our professional chefs can prepare delicious meals to meet these needs. One that we are faced with in alcohol and drug rehab is type II diabetes. This is developed over years of alcoholism in some. Chefs can help in preparing meals to meet these needs of diabetics. They also have dietary options for kosher meals and also vegetarian options as well. Meeting these needs help residents of our drug rehab center to feel more at home and be comfortable in the program.

Comfortable Dining Area

Like our drug rehab accommodations, our dining room reflects high levels of comfort and luxury. The dining room at the alcohol and drug rehab Studio at Cirque Lodge includes multiple seating areas with large comfortable couches. The kitchen area for addiction treatment residents and guests features a custom copper hood for the stoves and custom, hand-carved limestone around an original brick oven. The sitting area directly in front of the kitchen features the same hand-carved limestone around an attractive two-sided fireplace.

The first thing one notices when entering the dining area at the alcohol and drug rehab Studio at Cirque Lodge, are the floor to ceiling windows on the two outside walls. These glass windows provide an unobstructed view of both the magnificent 12,000 foot Mount Timpanogos to the North, and the majestic Cascade Peak to the East. Having our location next to the mountains provides our drug rehab clients the ability to enjoy nature first-hand and begin the healing process. Addiction treatment is not just about going to group meetings. It is also in the accommodation, the food and the experience.

The Balcony

The balcony on the north end of the third floor of the drug rehab center at Cirque Lodge adds an airy touch to the dining experience. Individuals facing the prospect of entering an addiction treatment facility usually do not associate nature, beauty, fresh air and tranquility with drug rehab. Those suffering from the disease of alcoholism, substance abuse, or eating disorders, have typically lost the pleasure that good food adds to the joy of life.

Enjoying a meal on the balcony is just one of the ways our residents get to experience fresh air. It is our philosophy that there is more to an alcohol and drug rehab program then the four walls of a therapy room. We allow our residents to experience fresh air with a number of outdoor venues. During meals, out in the rose garden, or on an experiential activity, the fresh air can provide a needed change that is conducive to recovery.
