Intervention Services

The intervention process is much broader than just getting someone motivated for treatment. Having a professional to consult with in conjunction with the treatment team at the facility will prove invaluable. There are many questions that arise not only before treatment, but during the process and after your loved finishes the program. A good interventionist is often times a solid shoulder to lean upon.

Keith Fierman, Director of Family Support Services at Cirque Lodge, spent many years working with families doing interventions. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for AIS (The Association of Intervention Specialists) nationally and internationally. Keith stays in close contact with many of the top interventionists in the country, and is happy to work with you in matching the right professional to work with your family.

Cirque Lodge is a nationally recognized addiction treatment center nestled in the mountains of Sundance Utah. When a friend or a loved one is struggling with addiction it can be a difficult process to get them the treatment they are in need of. In dealing with addiction there is a stigma involved. Many times those who are in need of addiction treatment are not willing to accept that there is a problem. In these critical cases it is recommended to seek out intervention services designed to motivate those loved ones to obtain treatment.

At Cirque Lodge we support the use of intervention services to be used to help individuals obtain addiction treatment. Intervention should be motivational and inspirational and should be immediately followed by enrollment into an alcohol rehab or drug rehab program. Intervention should always be done as an act of love and recently it has been shown that when the intervention is less confrontational it yields a greater success. Family members and close loved ones will be inspired to seek out the help they are desperately in need of.

It has been a misconception for a number of years that a person should wait until they have hit "rock" bottom before seeking out addiction treatment. This of course is not true. In fact the earlier that the addiction can be treated the better off that individual is. Prolonged exposure to drug or drink of choice can develop into a dependency which can make it a much more difficult time in treatment. If a friend or loved ones addiction problems are just developing into a concern, you should probably seek out the right means of help.

If you are aware that the alcohol or drug abuse is a concern but are having difficulty with your loved one, intervention services are needed. At times, the subject of addiction can be a sensitive subject and the loved one may become overly confrontational in nature.
