Rehab Facilities in the Mountains

Cirque Lodge is comprised of two facilities. The Lodge itself is the private mountain rehab center in Sundance Utah. It is a limited enrollment facility, and has all the feel of a mountain lodge. Residents of the Lodge are immersed in the mountains and the beauties of nature. In every room are large windows where residents can take in the beauties. Comfortable fireplaces are throughout the facility to provide warmth through the colder months. This mountain retreat provides the finest in accommodations and amenities, and the most caring of alcohol and drug rehab treatments and therapies.

Through the Provo Canyon is Cirque's second facility. The Studio in Orem Utah is a larger enrollment addiction rehab center. The Studio also has large windows through out the facility, for taking in the views of Mt. Timpanogos and Cascade Peak. Residents of the Studio also have many opportunities to get out onto the mountains for hiking, snow shoeing, and mountain biking and experiencing the majesty and healing of nature. This is coupled with the same highly effective and intensive addiction treatment program administered by highly licensed professionals.

Mountain Elements to a Rehab Center

Balanced into the more traditional elements of alcohol and drug rehab at Cirque Lodge is an experiential program. We use the location of our mountain rehab center to our advantage. Residents participate in a number of mountain based activities. These elements are used to teach coping strategies and lessons on the recovery. Cirque Lodge uses the 12-step program. Mountain activities are oftentimes used to teach concepts out of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and to tell recovery stories.

When an individual begins the 12-step process, they must find for themselves a power greater than their own. The Cirque is not a religiously affiliated alcohol and drug rehab center. We allow the individual to find a higher power however they see it. That is why we use the mountain in so many capacities. Surrounded by the majesty and beauties of nature, individuals can find their higher power and begin the process of healing. For many, the spirit of the mountain and nature can provide the connection to that power greater than one's own.

Changing Experiences in Nature

Overcoming alcoholism or drug addiction requires an internal change. Such a change alters the convictions and ruling forces of addiction and replaces them with positives of recovery.
