The innovative and unique drug treatment and alcohol rehab program at Cirque Lodge is designed to meet the early needs and issues faced by those suffering from alcohol and drug abuse, as they begin their road to recovery. Addiction treatment services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of certified counselors, licensed professionals, and others with extensive experience in the treatment of substance abuse. The foundation for all activities at Cirque Lodge is based on two main objectives: arresting the disease, and providing the needed support for early recovery. In order to support these objectives, Cirque Lodge provides personalized care, individual counseling, group therapy, extensive education, 12-step programming, experiential therapy, appropriate family treatment, and the facilitation of aftercare.

Woven into these objectives is a year-round program of experiential therapy indoor and outdoor activities. Each of these activities is designed to support the therapy and education offered residents of Cirque Lodge. Program elements used to teach rehabilitative concepts include: equine therapy, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ropes course and other experiential activities. Each of these activities as part of our drug rehab treatment promotes an excellent basis for experiential learning and lifestyle modification.

Experiential activities are designed so that all residents can participate at their individual level of physical conditioning, so that the activities are both effective and therapeutic. Extended Care Treatment
For those who need more treatment than primary care provides, Cirque Lodge believes in the step forward approach for extended care instead of a step down. The concept is to give the client additional time to practice the skills learned in primary treatment while at the same time getting to the core issues of why he or she would drink and use so destructively. While the client will still participate in process groups and experiential therapy, a bigger emphasis is put on working the 4th and 5th steps. In addition, individual therapy sessions and nightly participation in self-help groups that pertain to an individual's particular addiction are offered. Working with a sponsor, participating in service projects, and career management counseling are all part of the extended care alcohol treatment or drug rehab program. The idea is to continue to practice the skills learned in primary care while expanding the client's list of coping strategies.

Graduates of our program can take with them the recovery skills they learned in alcohol rehab or drug rehab and use them their entire life to better their way of living.
