Exercise and Recovery
An important part of any drug rehab program for those suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction includes both relaxation and exercise. The addiction treatment program at the Studio at Cirque Lodge features a full-sized basketball gym, a media room, and a custom-built cedar sauna. An outdoor pavilion surrounded by roses in bloom throughout the summer is also used for meditation and twelve-step work. Our twelve secluded and private acres assures you the best opportunity to renew your life with new hope and energy as you begin your road to recovery in our drug rehab facility.
Exercise Gymnasium
The alcohol and drug rehab facility at the Studio at Cirque Lodge features a full-sized basketball gym. Other activities also utilize this room, such as volleyball, yoga, stretching and meditation. An important part of the recovery process from alcoholism and drug addiction is proper exercise. Residents at the Studio have opportunities to work out with a fitness instructor in our gym throughout the week. The southern wall of the gym is fitted with equipment for a cross training workout, and building physical fitness.
Cirque Lodge is the leader in Experiential Therapy for the addiction treatment industry. We believe more can be accomplished through physical activity than by sitting in some group room all day.
Nutrition and exercise activities help to increase physical wellness. At the Studio, we are partnered with a local Gold's Gym. Transportation is provided to give residents opportunities to exercise at this outside facility each day.
Personal Training and Wellness
Residents can also take advantage of improving their physical wellness by working with one of our fitness instructors. Trainers are available during free-time and experiential time for exercise programs. The Gym at the Studio has a number of heavy bags and training equipment used for cross training programs. Residents of the alcohol and drug rehab center can greatly benefit from this physical activity. Proper exercise can even be utilized as a recovery tool and daily activity after treatment at the Studio is completed.
One such activity offered at the Studio is yoga. Yoga and meditation are very healthy practices that are strong modes of relapse prevention. Yoga is a powerful tool for balancing body mind and spirit, which is a focus of the Cirque Lodge drug rehab program. Yoga instruction and wellness also help to balance out the programming of treatment therapies and group.
Relaxing Sauna
One of the most relaxing activities that the residents at the alcohol and drug rehab facility at Cirque Lodge enjoy is sitting in a hot steamy sauna. A sauna promotes healing and has historically been used to open the skin pores, sweat out toxins in the body, and relax the muscles. In the winter time in Scandinavia, a typical sauna session is concluded by immediately going outdoors and jumping in a snow bank. We don't do that here, thankfully! However, if you are brave enough, we can accommodate you!
The Sauna has been around for centuries. We use the saunas in our drug rehab program to help ease the stress caused by the cleansing process of drug treatment. Twenty minutes in the sauna can relieve tension and have many healthy effects for the body. A sauna also increases blood flow to the body promoting good circular health. The residents of the Studio can take advantage of our cedar saunas and sweat out any toxins they may have. This is one of the ways we invite our drug rehab residents to relax during the down time of each day.
