A central aspect of drug addiction treatment is the use of experiential therapies. More and more of our colleagues are beginning to adopt a form of experiential program in conjunction with traditional alcohol and drug treatment. We have developed a unique program that utilizes our location in the mountains and the venues of our Studio facility. The mountains and nature are a powerful place for healing and self-discovery and we take advantage of this venue through our experiential work.
Activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and snowshoeing in the winter. One of the unique venues we are referring to is our indoor ropes and climbing facility at the Studio. The ropes course allows us to continue with experiential challenges indoors, so we never lose a day to inclement weather. Experiential therapy is designed to meet the varying needs and physical levels of our clients and even these activities have their purpose. Whether it is out in the mountains, working with horses, or going for a giant swing across the ropes course, there are lessons to be learned from the activity!
The private helicopter journey is one of the many unique experiential aspects that make Cirque Lodge a luxury rehab center. The Eurocopter EC-130 is an advanced machine in aeronautics. It is used exclusively by our residents in their recovery program primarily during third step work. This step deals in turning your problems, will, life, what have you over to your higher power. The mountains provide us the location. The helicopter gives us the transportation to see nature from an awe-inspiring vantage point. We land in remote locations where residents can do some reflection, meditation, and soul searching. It is such a magnificent venue and place to find and tap into a power greater than our own.
