Prescription Drug Addiction Treatment in Utah

Cirque Lodge provides prescription drug addiction treatment in Utah for individuals and families seeking private, clinically guided residential care.

  • Personalized Treatment Plan
  • Detox and Clinical Care
  • Dual Diagnosis Care
  • Private Residential Setting

The prescription drug rehab program at Cirque Lodge begins with an individualized assessment and treatment plan. Detox is arranged when clinically appropriate.

Residential treatment addresses prescription drug addiction together with the emotional, behavioral, trauma-related, and mental health concerns that can make recovery harder to sustain alone.

The program integrates evidence-based behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions.

In a confidential mountain setting, experiential therapy, family involvement, and continuing care planning help clients practice recovery skills and prepare for life after treatment.

Personalized Prescription Drug Addiction Treatment in Utah

Cirque Lodge provides personalized prescription drug addiction treatment for people whose prescription drug use has affected their health, relationships, emotional stability, daily structure, or sense of control.

Care begins with an individualized clinical assessment because each person enters treatment with a different history. The assessment reviews patterns of prescription drug use, withdrawal risk, mental health needs, trauma history, family dynamics, and recovery goals.

The goal is to treat the person, rather than focusing only on prescription drug use, with care that reflects their clinical needs, life circumstances, and readiness for recovery.

Our Facilities: The Lodge and The Studio

Residential treatment at Cirque Lodge takes place across two private facilities in the Rocky Mountains of Utah: The Lodge and The Studio. Each setting has a treatment role, with dedicated spaces for residential care, detox support, therapy, meals, rest, and experiential work.

1-main-hero

The Lodge

The Lodge is a private and luxury mountain retreat at the base of Mount Timpanogos. It combines comfort with authenticity and elegance.

The Lodge accommodates 16 residents, with an additional 3 residents in The Lookout facility adjacent to the Lodge. The smaller resident count creates a more exclusive and intimate setting than The Studio.

Each room provides personal heating and a private bath with slate tile and a jetted tub. The Lodge also features stone and timber interiors, meticulously appointed rooms, a log spiral staircase, and the Cirque Meditation Room.

Large windows throughout The Lodge open onto views of the surrounding mountains, Cascade Cirque, glacier-fed waterfalls, year-round snowfields, and Sundance Ski Resort. Deer, elk, and moose often wander the property.

The Studio

The Studio is located at the gateway to Provo Canyon and framed by the Cascade Mountains, with views of Mount Timpanogos. The facility offers accommodations with oil paintings and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding landscape.

Residents can enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness center, pickleball courts, a 12-step walking path, a labyrinth, an organic garden, a hair salon, and massage rooms.

The facility sits on twelve acres of manicured gardens and arenas. A private, gated entrance offers confidentiality for residents and visiting family and friends.

The resident wing provides comfortable and inviting accommodations for those in the treatment program. The residential wing also includes common areas where residents can socialize, enjoy the fireplace, or take part in the activities provided.

Cirque Lodge offers shared or private detox accommodations, including private detox in a serene and discreet environment with dedicated medical support.

How Prescription Drug Addiction Treatment Works at Cirque Lodge

Prescription drug addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge follows a structured pathway that connects each stage of care with the resident’s clinical needs. The process begins with confidential admissions and an assessment of prescription drug use, withdrawal risk, mental health needs, family concerns, and recovery goals.

The assessment helps determine the safest and most appropriate treatment path. Some people may need detox support or medical stabilization before participating in therapy. Others may begin directly in residential treatment, where structure, therapeutic support, and distance from daily triggers help them begin focused recovery work.

Treatment addresses cravings, triggers, and behavior patterns connected to prescription drug use. When mental health symptoms or trauma affect recovery, the treatment plan incorporates dual diagnosis and trauma-informed care.

As treatment progresses, experiential therapy, family support, 12-Step participation, and continuing care planning help residents turn insight into practical recovery skills.

Evidence-Based and Trauma-Informed Therapies for Prescription Drug Addiction

ABehavioral therapy is central to treatment for prescription drug addiction at Cirque Lodge. It helps residents identify thoughts, emotions, triggers, and routines associated with prescription drug use, then practice coping strategies for cravings, stress, and situations that may increase relapse risk.

Treatment includes individual therapy for personal work; group therapy for connection, accountability, and feedback; and clinical workshops and psychoeducation covering addiction, relapse risk, coping skills, and recovery planning.

Cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, helps residents recognize thought and behavior patterns, challenge automatic responses, and build practical relapse-prevention skills.

Trauma-related responses or shame may make it harder to discuss experiences, trust clinicians, or remain engaged in treatment. A trauma-informed approach emphasizes safety, choice, and respect. When more focused support is needed, the treatment plan may integrate DBT, EMDR, ACT, or mindfulness-based work.

Integrated Care for Prescription Drug Addiction and Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions

Dual diagnosis care integrates prescription drug addiction treatment with support for co-occurring conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and mood instability. Recovery can be harder to sustain when these concerns are treated separately from the addiction.

For some people, prescription drug use becomes a way to manage emotional pain, stress, panic, shame, or sleep disruption. This pattern can keep the cycle of use active even after the person wants to stop.

Trauma-informed care keeps treatment grounded in safety, dignity, and trust while the treatment plan accounts for mental health symptoms, trauma history, emotional regulation, and relapse risk.

Treating prescription drug addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions together addresses issues that may draw the person back toward prescription drug use.

Residential Prescription Drug Addiction Treatment Away From Daily Triggers and Pressure

For many people, stopping prescription drug use is harder when the same routines, responsibilities, stress, and access to prescription drugs remain part of daily life. Residential treatment provides distance from that environment, with structure and clinical support in place from the start.

This distance can be especially important for people who continue functioning despite prescription drug addiction, carry professional responsibilities, face family concerns, or feel pressure to keep appearing in control.

Care takes place in a private mountain setting that reduces exposure to familiar social and professional environments during treatment.

Medical Detox and Stabilization at Cirque Lodge

For some people, detoxification from prescription drugs is the first clinical step before residential treatment. A clinical assessment determines whether detox is needed.

Detox takes place at The Studio, where qualified medical staff monitor withdrawal symptoms, respond to safety concerns, and help residents prepare for therapy.

Medical providers may prescribe medication to manage withdrawal symptoms when the resident’s symptoms, medical history, and safety assessment support its use.

The Studio includes private bedrooms, a detox lounge, a medical examination room, a nearby nurse’s station, and a monitoring and call system. For residents who need detox, this phase helps make the beginning of residential treatment safer and more manageable.

Privacy and Confidentiality at Cirque Lodge

Privacy can affect whether you or someone you love feels ready to seek help. For professionals, parents, and people in public-facing roles, a private treatment setting may be especially important.

Discreet admissions, private accommodations, and a confidential treatment environment allow residents to enter care with dignity and focus on treatment without feeling exposed.

Cirque is a world class facility. The staff is amazing. From the therapists, to counselors, to the front line and shift lead. The staff is great here. The owners are awesome, very personable, and seem to be involved which is nice. They have any amenity you can possibly think of. From the horses, to the sauna, the full size basketball court. The food is amazing. The views are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the groups and the one on one with my counselor/therapist. The healing you receive here is real and I’m eternally grateful for that healing I did receive here, and hope to continue to carry that with me and share it along the way. Thanks Cirque!

Google Review

I was a resident at Cirque twice, once in 2016 and again in 2024. The facilities upgrades were an added bonus to what I knew would be a beneficial treatment experience. While the luxury amenities were amazing, what really stood out to me was the experiential therapy. From the high ropes course to the weekly hikes in the surrounding landscape, those activities helped me break through barriers I couldn’t have reached in talk therapy alone. Most importantly, the staff gave me the guidance and opportunity to work through all 12 steps while I was there. I left with a solid foundation for my recovery. Highly recommended for anyone ready to commit to a life of sobriety.

As an addiction professional, families in crisis trust me to help them identify the most appropriate treatment programs for their loved ones. There are very few programs I recommend as highly as Cirque Lodge. Cirque Lodge is unique in that it is truly a family-owned recovery program, deeply committed to the fundamental tenets of real recovery. It provides an environment that is not only spiritually healing, but also safe and supportive for individuals who are new to recovery—allowing them the space to look inward and find the strength needed for a new way of life. If you are considering treatment options for yourself or someone you care about, I strongly encourage you to consider Cirque Lodge.

What Does a Day in Treatment Look Like at Cirque Lodge?

Each day follows a structured rhythm shaped by the resident’s treatment plan. The schedule may include individual and group therapy, recovery workshops, experiential work, 12-Step participation, fitness, meals, and quiet reflection.

Structure reduces unplanned time, supports a steadier routine, and creates an environment where prescription drug use is no longer part of daily life.

Weekly schedules vary according to clinical needs, activities, guest lectures, and Family Program dates. The example shows one possible week of treatment.

Family Support for Recovery from Prescription Drug Addiction

Family Support for Recovery from Prescription Drug Addiction

Prescription drug addiction can affect both the person receiving treatment and their family. Loved ones may face fear, broken trust, unclear boundaries, enabling patterns, and uncertainty about supporting recovery.

Continuing Care Planning

Continuing Care Planning

Recovery planning begins before residential treatment ends. Each person develops a relapse prevention plan covering triggers, high-risk situations, coping strategies, and the return to home, work, family, and their recovery environment.

Continuing care incorporates 12-Step support and appropriate options such as support groups, recovery networks, outpatient therapy, and medication management.
